As you may know from public news articles, ze Rheinland Polizei is currently importing 10.000 criminals from ze Gallic Union. Zey are used as cheap workforce to produce one of Rheinlands most important industrial ressources and export commodities, Aluminium. Unfortunately, some of zem reached a razer disturbing state of incapacity for work. A few complain about hallucinations and ozers show a very deep, nearly lezargic sleep lasting for 12-16 hours. Zis is nozing we can tolerate and we begun to separate ze respective individuals.

I'd like to order ze construction of a provisional field hospital, where we would be able to investigate ze medical issues; but we lack in Medical Equipment and Pharmaceuticals. We also do not have enough experienced people on ze moon to carry out ze medical examinations.

Would you be capable and interested in solving zis issue for ze empire?

It is not often we are contacted by Rheinland nobility, let alone one of your post.
Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Bob Bobberson the third, esquire, of Bretonian descent and currently employed at Cryer Pharmaceuticals.
We have indeed seen the news pass by, it is reassuring to hear some good came from the horrible attempt on the ministers life during Rheinlands diplomatic visit to Gallia.
With lower prices for matters such as food and greater income the people will be more willing and able to purchase the medication they might need, which we greatly approve of.

The symptoms you describe do sound troublesome, especially given the background of the patients. I have some theories as to what the cause might be, but it'd be unbecoming to start speculating without our staff having examined at least a few. We would be more than glad to lend our aide to the empire of Rheinland. The supplies should be relatively easy to facilitate, we can also provide staff to help perform the needed examinations and potential treatments to keep the prisoners motivated without getting too...shall we say, overeager.

This does leave some matters to discuss however; does the Empire wish to receive a one time shipment, or are we looking at a repeating order to help keep these prisoners up and running? Where would you like this medical facility to be located? I'm assuming the prison station, given the planets harsh reputation, but I rather be sure than assume. How much medical staff would you like to receive and in what capacity, nurses are easier and cheaper than doctors for example, but not quite as qualified.

There is, of course, also the matter of price. However, without more information on the specifics of your order I cannot accurately provide you with an estimate quite yet.

For maintaining a healthy population of 10'000 people we would normally recommend 25 doctors and 50 nurses, This means a doctor and 2 nurses for every 200 people.
In a healthy situation where people occasionally get ill, this will generally be more than sufficient while leaving the staff able to function in an emergency.

However, it sounds like we're not dealing with a healthy population, so please keep in mind we can scale up if the examinations find it to be needed.

I zank you for your fast and relatively positive answer. It is true, ze Rheinland nobles are razer reserved, when it is about dealing wiz ze simple working class. As I am also part of ze Rheinland Polizei, I fortunately don't have such kind of luxury. I had already coordinated wiz ze first in command, zat it would be ze best zing to build ze hospital on ze moon. As you may know, Hammersee is a really hot location, where ze work shifts designated to ze night time. Working in ze dark and constant risk of riots, when people get injured, would benefit from additional hospitals. I already ensured, ze compensation of deliveries directly to ze moon would reflect zese circumstances.

While ze Mecklenburg Prison already contains a infirmary, you have to understand, zat ze mentioned prisoners had to be imported because a mining tunnel collapsed. Of course we tried to rescue ze victims, but ze loading to shuttles did take too much time and ze survivors suffered an excruciating deaz due blood loss. Should we have to face an infectious plague, we do not want to have it spread.

Please ensure, ze staff you hire are aware of ze circumstances. While I understand you want to use legal passengers from Bretonia and/or Liberty, be adviced, only Rheinland doctors are aware of what zey will be dealing wiz. However, we won't discriminate here and every help would be welcome.

Let's focus on ze field hospital for a moment. I cannot push ze compensation furzer due economic reasons, but I can offer you a one-time payment if you give me a roughly estimate about ze costs you'll face. Needless to say, we would not be averse to receiving furzer supplies.

I thank you for your thoroughness for when it comes to providing us with all the needed information. We can agree to the on-moon prices for now and have sent out the first shipments with supplies and personel. The attached communication you provided has us slightly worried however as it mentions Corsairs, I assume we can count on the empires protection within the system? Since Atka's destruction we are looking into options as to provide sturdier hardware to our convoy escorts, it has proven however to be quite a challenge to obtain snubvessels sturdier than civilian spacecraft.

Our staff consists of medical experts from all the houses but we have made sure to predominantly include those with a knowledge of Rheinland and Gallia, given the nature of the patients. Rest assured once the preliminary diagnoses come in we shall inform you of what exactly is going on at the prison, as well as what potential treatments we advise.

Given the preference to have the facilities on the moon itself we would have to charge a one time payment of 50'000 credits as hazard pay for the field staff, the credits can be transferred to [-Cryer-]Aesculapius.

Please let me make it clear, zat as long as you provide us wiz medication, we will do everyzing in our power to protect civilian supply transports to ze bases of ze empire. My last state of information was zat a Hauptmann named "Ludwig Parothia" should actually be commissioned to secure ze Rheinland border. However, he cannot be found at ze moment, so ze kaiserliche Rheinwehr has already built ze modular Festung Grauer Ort in Lüneburg in order to master ze zreat to ze corsairs.

The delay is fully understandable, these are busy times and no doubt the Police have their hands full maintaining this peace we all hold so dear.
I can't say I've met this Ludwig Parothia, but he sounds like a dashingly handsome and competent man indeed, platonically speaking of course.

You'll be pleased to hear that 10'000 units of pharmaceuticals and 10'000 units of medical equipment have since been delivered succesfully, this should be ample to help set up the field hospitals and provide for the prisons population.
Unfortunately one of our convoys was pirated once when they reached Lüneburg, however we fortunately have appropriate insurance with Interspace Commerce and no cargo was lost.
I do think however, you will find the nature of the pirate interesting. I have attached the communication logs for your review, they were very...peculiar.

Please inform me when we can move in our staff to begin the examinations and we will be happy to oblige.

I never had ze pleasure of meeting ze Hauptmann in person. All I know is zat he was assigned to ze Grenzschutzgarde, so I'm not going to judge. What concerns me, however, is ze increased criminal activity in and around Rheinland. You have already expressed your concern about ze corsairs. Recently we drove a large fleet of enemy ships out of Lüneburg (again). I zink zey will zink twice about attacking our supply lines again. I also sent a team to neutralize ze AI drone you noticed. Ze kaiserliche Rheinwehr encountered it in New-Berlin.

But zere are, of course, more positive news. We recently completed ze construction of ze field hospital. It took some effort from Daumann Heavy Construction, as well as an independent freelancer, ze administrator of ze Eupen Handelsplatz, who supplied us wiz a surplus of base alloys. We've choosen a remote region on ze moon zat shows less volcanic activities. I hope zis will make ze work of ze medical staff easier. An open perimeter will allow us to intervene quickly, should any incidents occur.

Alzough I would like to show your team around, I fear zat matters of Rheinlands internal security require my attention (again). We are currently suffering from a shortage of willing pilots, but I will try to find a solution.

It is good to hear the Field Hospital is up and running, as well as the increassed interceptions done by Rheinlands defenders.
Both truely a sign of that stereotypical Rheinland efficiency.

A few of our staff have backed out, citing the hazerdous environment of Hammersee's surface as the reason, however we still have ample qualified physicians on staff to perform the examinations.

I will inform the needed departments to send them over so they can begin their work immediatley.

On an unrelated sidenote, I don't suppose you have received any reports of a Cryer convoy going missing in the Sigma systems? We have lost contact with one of our convoys that was visiting Hawaii after a succesful trade delegation to Kusari. We are starting to become slightly concerned.

Anyway, zere are currently no information regarding a missing cryer convoy available. Do you want us to investigate zat incident? If so, I would need some basic information to start:

- Ze convoy contained how many ships?
- What are ze callsigns of ze ships?
- Where did you lost ze contact to ze convoy?
- Did ze ships haul any cargo from Kusari to ze Hawaii?

Please note, Rheinlands current relation to ze gas miner guild is a bit ... stressed.
I understand you would want a razer quick solution to find ze convoy, but I assume ze Kusari state police is probably too lazy busy to patrol said system.
