To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - Soban - 01-25-2025 ![]() Greetings Mr Harabero, I am Jonathan Cayran, member of Phoenix. Recently, one of our trade fleets encountered some of your warriors while passing through Maltese space. We were informed that your territory is now off-limits to outsiders without a formal agreement with the Hyperspace Starfleet Director. Therefore, I respectfully request the terms and conditions for permitting our trade fleet and its escort to traverse Maltese space, including any associated fees—be they in credits or goods. For context, our trade fleet’s escort typically consists of fighters, bombers, and the occasional gunboat. However, due to recent hostilities with the Deterrence, we may require a cruiser to ensure proper security. Our vessels primarily transport commodities needed by our shipyards at Livadia and Kadesh to maintain and improve our fleet, in addition to exporting Iridium. I would also like to take this opportunity to inform you that we offer a bounty of 500,000 SC for every Deterrence vessel destroyed in the Omicrons. With resolve and determination, Jonathan Cayran, out. ![]() RE: To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - BobMacaroni - 01-26-2025 ![]() Malta Hyperspace Starfleet
From:Alejandro Harabero, "HS" Comandantes AlfaIncoming Transmission To: Phoenix Subject:Establishing Ties Classification:Confidential Buenas tardes. It is good to hear from you, Señor Cayran. I have been expecting your transmissision eagerly, given that we have not had contact with Zoners, much less the Phoenix, in some time. I was notified of the situation which arose. You were informed correctly. The Omicron Alpha system is off limits to all outsiders who are not known friends of Malta, for security purposes. We wish to have an understanding of all who enter within our borders. Given that we have met on amiable terms previously, and we are aware of your hostilities against the Corsairs, we will allow you passageway through the system unhindered for a price of 500,000 credits, and that you will notify us should you be bringing any vessels larger than the escorts stated. We will then spread the word that your vessels are to be allowed passageway through unharmed. We can guarantee this for all of our forces and any we may encounter around you, however I would always advice to keep an eye out for any who have not recieved notice and inform them of this contract, should you agree. On other matters, we will keep your offer in mind. Our forces clash often with the Corsairs in Theta and abroad. I would also like to let you know as well that should you require support against the Corsair menace, we would be able to offer assistance against them. Just let us know. I look forward to cooperating further with the Phoenix Zoners. Good day. Alejandro Harabero - Explorador Alfa ![]() RE: To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - Soban - 01-26-2025 ![]() Good morning, Your terms seem fair, and I appreciate you clarifying them. However, I do have a few questions: How long will the 500,000 SC fee remain valid? Is it a single payment per passage, or are we arranging a monthly or yearly license? Additionally, to which account should these credits be sent? Regarding any independent pilots or those not directly under your command who may be unaware of our agreement, we will maintain our usual protocol: be courteous, pay any requested fee, and advise them to verify the arrangement with your forces for future encounters. Finally, your offer of assistance has not gone unnoticed. Should tensions with the Corsairs escalate, we would gladly accommodate your vessels at Corfu or even Livadia, if needed. From:Alejandro Harabero, "HS" Comandantes AlfaIncoming Transmission To: Phoenix Subject:Establishing Ties Classification:Confidential How long it will last for depends on how long you intend on shipping through our territory. If you have a known end date for which we can do an all in one contract, we can provide an amount that will cover that time period. If not, I will state that it will be a fee of 500,000 credits per month for a license of passageway for your transports and escorts, and if you desire can also pay in advance for future months. You may transfer the credits to HS>Bank once every thirty days. Simply send us the desired time frame you wish to haul through and the amount of money which will cover it, under the given outline of 500,000 per month. Unless you have any more questions, that will be all. Alejandro Harabero - Explorador Alfa ![]() RE: To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - Soban - 01-27-2025 ![]() Then we have an agreement. Six million SC have been deposited into your account for the entire year. May these credits help fortify your fleet against those buffoon of the Deterrence! Jonathan Cayran, out. ![]() RE: To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - Soban - 01-28-2026 ![]() Greetings Mr Harabero, A year has passed without incident, and I am contacting you again to renew our agreement—if that remains possible, of course—even though the recent gravitational shift in Beta has made the route considerably more arduous to cross. I was reminded of the matter after spotting a sizeable Oucast presence near Freeport 11. I would advise continued caution in Delta: the Nomad threat remains active, even if we have managed to keep it at bay for the time being. Additionally, several of our scientists have taken a keen interest in the changes observed in Omicron Beta. Particularly the emergence of those massive celestial objects. As such, I would like to request your approval to deploy a small number of scientific vessels into Beta from time to time, for monitoring and exploratory surveys. From:Alejandro Harabero, "HS" Comandantes AlfaIncoming Transmission To: Phoenix Subject:Renewing Ties Classification:Confidential Señor Cayran. It is good to see you after all this time. How long has it been? A year since? Hm. Nevertheless, it is good to see the Phoenix still standing strong after the atrocities you faced. Renewing the agreement is no large matter to discuss. The conditions have not changed since we first made it, so I have no issue renewing it once again. We have not received any complaints about your convoys, either, as an added bonus. As for your second request... You are aware that any monitoring or exploration by outside forces of our territory is strictly taboo. Omicron Beta lies on the fringes of our space, yet it is still important to our interests. For what you are requesting to pass, I would like exact details of what and where you are surveying. From there I will make the calls on how much discretion is necessary. What I can elaborate on if you intend to do this venture regardless is that any and all information gleaned will not be made available to the public, or sold publicly. Only for your personal use. And, of course, what benefit would this be for us? Do you have a proposal to make it worth our while? Alejandro Harabero - Explorador Alfa ![]() RE: To: Alejandro Harabero || From: Phoenix - Soban - 01-30-2026 ![]() Greetings Mr Harabero, Very well. I will gather the funds and transfer them once we have settled the second point. Regarding the survey: it will focus on those passing behemoths and their projected trajectories. Our primary concern is practical, Omicron Beta’s nebula is treacherous enough without the risk of a convoy being caught in the path of a drifting mass. In short, we want to determine whether these objects are influencing the jump hole, and if so, to what extent they might displace it over time. The work will be limited to monitoring, basic sampling, and data collection. Nothing more. Any data gathered will be shared exclusively with your command. And should these objects contain exploitable resources, we will not extract them. Those rights remain yours. I trust this answers your concerns. From:Alejandro Harabero, "HS" Comandantes AlfaIncoming Transmission To: Phoenix Subject:Renewing Ties Classification:Confidential This proposition sounds acceptable to me. As long as this data collection remains primarily focused on those big rocks as you have said, I have no issues granting access. Consider yourself a welcome guest, Señor Cayran. If any other brother or sister of Malta happens to give you trouble during your venture, you can contact me. Our scientists will look forward to receiving any important data you may come across. Hasta la vista. Alejandro Harabero - Explorador Alfa ![]() |
