Discovery encompasses a LOT of ships in Freelancer-- is it an extension of the Freelancer universe only or are there ships from other IPs? If so, can anyone tell me if the SSV Normandy from Mass Effect is available? If not, do you know of any mods out there for Freelancer that have it?

Additionally Discovery is primarily an expansion of the original freelancer ships. Of course with new lines of ships, like the IMG, the modelers and texturers have to create new styles. These styles are sometimes influenced by other IPs but the modelers and texturers try to make them fit in with the vanilla freelancer ships as much as possible.
Generally things from other IPs (imports) are frowned upon in this community. People want Discovery to be original and uninfluenced by other IP's, as these make it less original and also make it a less immersive environment. There are still a few imported models left, and since these models have a fairly lengthy history with Discovery I for one hope they are never replaced simply due to the fact they are imports.

I kind of like imports, gives a feeling of nostalgia. Like the Raven Claw from Dark Knight. Or the Arwing from Star Fox.
I want to see Freespace ships now.

Yeah Freespace ships would be cool..but I dont want real imports I would like to see a ship that looks similiar to them but isnt a ship from FS.
