I've been debriefed by Captain Samantha Brown, the LNS-Akhetaten's executive officer, on the events that unfolded in the Colorado system not a few minutes ago. The Captain's description spoke of a vast hostile force consisting of fighters, bombers and gunboats that ambushed our forces on the Galileo jumpgate, forcing our last two battlecruisers still standing - LNS-Constellation and LNS-Akhetaten - to abandon the blockade and plot a retreat course towards Planet Denver while under heavy hostile fire. The LNS-Constellation suffered significant damage and had to be towed back to base, and the same fate was certainly awaiting our own prototype battlecruiser. However, in a valiant and selfless act, a convoy lead by Weiss Shipping, escorted by - among others - Rheinland Military and BDM forces, that happened to be flying by while the fight was taking place opened fire on the attacking ships, leading not only to the saving of the LNS-Akhetaten but also the destruction of almost all the hostile forces in the system, forcing what few stragglers survived to a full retreat. Ladies and gentlemen, I'd like to formally, and officially express my utter and absolute gratitude for your heroic actions that lead to this victory today. Your act of kindness will not be forgotten. United, we truly are stronger. ![]() - LIBERTY NAVY FORTY-SIXTH FLEET "Honor. Courage. Commitment."

Admittedly, the praise for Rheinland security forces, and especially my our own Weiss employees, leaves a tinge of pride. To my regret the lack of security in Liberty space keeps us all sober on the topic. From what I understand the Liberty Naval vessels sent out a close range distress call to the convoy, obligating them to help. We are of course happy lives were saved, but would request Liberty increase their military presence in areas with heavy pirate traffic to more adequate levels. Whilst Weiss Shipping has a healthy interest in improving relations between Liberty and Rheinland, we are guests of trade, and cannot get involved in conflict within its borders on the regular. It's bad for business. What we can offer more regularly is Rheinland exports to bolster the Liberty Navy's ability to secure that space for the benefit of all involved. It is what our corporation is licensed to do, primarily, and our security measures are a mere side effect of the times. Mit freundlichen Grüßen, CEO, Weiss Shipping, Franz Zimmer |
