Declaration of war
Greetings. We are The Order, an organization that has been secretly protecting humanity from the alien threat of the Nomads and their minions for the past 35 years. Founded some 800 years ago, we knew that humanity was not alone in the universe and have been in the shadows all this time, protecting it from a far more powerful enemy that you can imagine.
Due to circumstances beyond our control, our agenda has changed. The Order declares war on all of humanity and sets as its ultimate goal its destruction as a sentient species.

If I'm not mistaken, the reasons for the SCP-5000 appeared on the SCP website a little later, as anchored links in the text that could be used to see where it all started.
Roughly speaking, the Foundation actually continued to fulfill its duty to protect humanity by destroying it. But yeah, cool SCP, I liked it. The only SCP I like more than him is “Sasha" (SCP-1315-RU).
