[Recurring Event] The Collection - Aquisitions Bulletin

To all the procurers of exotic goods and antiquities in Sirius (and beyond) - I represent a private collection of artifacts with historical and artistic significance. Of late, our exhibition is in need of new and exciting pieces to grow our collection. We judge not for how, ours is only to make our wants known - and to generously reward those that bring it to us.

We will remember those that are best at growing our collection, and those that hinder our acquisitions.

To be considered for bid, we will require a substantially detailed description of the work and the provenance. Asking prices need not be given, as our Appraiser will determine a generous finder's fee, and a much more generous reward on delivery.

Further instructions will follow successful bids.

This channel has been established to facilitate the acquisition of antiquities and artifacts that capture the fancy of the Curator. All communications herein are accessible to explicitly listed recipients, and the channel owner only.
Periodically, postings will be listed detailing the desire for items with certain specifications - All are invited to post as potential sellers of items that they are to create with suitable background, description, providence, or any other creative roleplay aspects that meet the given listing specifications. One or two of the best listings may be selected for rewards including but not limited to cash prizes, otherwise unobtainable roleplay cargo, codename weaponry, forum titles, and more.

All contributions must be original work. Plagarism, AI generated text (images are ok), and deliberate low quality entries will not be tolerated and may result in unpleasant consequences.

Once selected, the selected seller player will be allocated a budget of 20 million credits to arrange for armed transport of the piece from the seller to a designated deposit site (they are obligated to use these funds for the event only, and will return the remainder). The event must have the following conditions:

The route must be arranged as an event by the player (or someone on the player's behalf), with two weeks advance notification (the event must occur within four weeks of being selected) to the community with an explicitly listed ship name for the courier (must be some class of non-freighter transport), the starting base/system, and the destination base/system (the route is not required to be disclosed.
Escorts may (and are encouraged to) be hired either on an organizational or individual basis using the allocated budget, though more can be offered from the player's private funds if desired.
The seller may roleplay to gain an 'understanding' with official (or unofficial but tag tracked) lawful or the unlawful factions of a given house along the way (but not both - IE: they can make a deal for either protection or to be ignored by the Liberty Rogues and/or Lane Hackers to the exclusion of the LPI and the LN, and then make a deal with CDI and/or BAF for protection to the exclusion of cooperation with the Mollys and Gaians). Such deals are binding to the entire NPC faction for the duration of the run. Non-House based factions may be contacted but deals cannot be made to overlap between enemy factions (Contacting Outcasts for protection will exclude cooperation from Order and Corsairs, etc). Roleplay must make 'sense' and may be subject to veto by staff. Any faction that has not come to an 'understanding' may demand the art piece commodity - but must do so with plausible roleplay (EX: LPI may demand the art piece be surrendered for tax assessment)
All other standard rules on PVP, ZOI, and ID apply.

In the case that the goods arrive safely to the destination with the selected seller player's convoy, they will be rewarded with a cash prize of 15 million credits and a point of favor to be used in the future for roleplay 'favors' by the Collector.

If the selected seller player's convoy is successfully intercepted and the target commodity is stolen - it may make the rest of the route to the sell point for a cash prize of 10 million credits.

Roleplay interactions resulting from these events will be persistent and remembered by the Curator.
