Gendarmerie Outpost Attacked in Planet Marne Bombing, Kills 7
PLANET MARNE - The calm of a mundane Thursday evening in Chalon-sur-Saône was shattered by a violent explosion at 18:15 local time. The blast was centered around the central lobby of the local Gendarmerie garrison's office, striking during a shift change. The explosion triggered a chain reaction that resulted in a fire that spread throughout the building, leading to a full evacuation of the premises. In both the explosion and subsequent inferno, at least five Gendarmerie personnel and two civilians are confirmed killed, with several dozen more injured or missing. Among the deceased is Chef de service Jules Delacroix, the chief of operations for Chalon-sur-Saône and the surrounding region, and a visiting military official. Le Galactique has reached out to the Gallic Union for clarification on the official's identity, but there is no knowledge at this time.
