Subject: Galileo Situation

To whom it may concern,

I am Emily Furukawa, Chief Executive Officer of Ionic Incorporated. I believe we must discuss the most recent stellarpolitical developments.

I will keep it relatively brief. The recent court decision by the Republic of Liberty regarding Taro Yamada's prospecting data seems aimed at enforcing an intent by the Republic of ownership of the platinum deposits in Galileo. Truthfully, we care little for the actual content of the initial prospecting report or the derived legal terms for mineral exploitation in the system, and I really doubt the wonderful republic to our south does, either.

It is far more transparently an attempt to annex mineral rights by fabricating ties of their prospecting to criminal elements, so that the Republic may use her full force to secure the fields, and if necessary, push northwards.
It is the position of Ionic Incorporated not to yield to this pressure, and to continue the extraction of platinum ore in the system. We firmly dismiss the court decision that is likely intended to exert pressure against us, and we urge the Empire to take a strong stance against Liberty's northern ambitions, before we must redirect transmissions like this to the Ministry of Defense.

Economy, Industry & Finance Minister - Ryuu Majima

Ionic Incorporated.

The situation surrounding mineral stakes in Galileo remains a daily topic for us.
As of now, the Ministry considers any court orders from the side of House Liberty null and void over the sheer lack of transparency and thereafter the lack of willingness forward us any details that resulted in the alleged sole rights to House Liberty and its corporate entities.

Currently, the Ministry is drafting possibilities to establish a neutral court accepted by both sides - however we expect the Republic to turn down any such attempts. With all things I have spoken about with the Ministry of Defense and Naval Forces personnel in mind, it is ill advised to provoke the Republic in giving them a reason to escalate further. However, given the legal obscurity of the situation, we have no right to tell you how to act within Independent Worlds. We will neither condone nor encourage further exploitation of the Platinum fields, though I will try my best to approach.. certain groups of people who would usually be more than willing to disrupt Kishiro Technology operations and convince them that your operations within Galileo serve the greater Empire and your courage and dedication should be cherished, not prowled upon.

Anything security related is yours to discuss with the relevant Naval Forces personnel or potentially trustworthy guns for hire.

With utmost respect,
Ryuu Majima
