When approached, it showed foolish confidence and hostility. Shortly after the fight began, the captain of the Destructeur de Marchand must've realized that the SOFP vessel was leagues above his usual prey. But any attempts to run or fight back were futile. Just mere minutes after the fight began, the hull of the Destructeur de Marchand was hit by salvo after salvo of heavy artillery, breaking the ship in half and ending its reign of terror.
