With what I'm le...learning about recent events in Galileo, I can imagine you are particularly busy. I hope y...you are doing well. I hope tensions defuse for ev...everyone's sake. I've been meaning to reach out to you since our chance crossing of paths in Vespucci earlier this week. However, if Galileo ta...takes your attentions I shan't feel shunned if you'd rather they wait for a better time.

My questions revolve around how prepared the Houses would be, Liberty in p...pa...particular, if there were an attack made by an Artificial Intelligence upon them: if Cyber Security is up to the task, and whether there are blindspots in capabilities against the emerging designs of drone vessels in the Omicrons.

I forsee th...that would usually meet platitudes and claims of classification. Understandably so. Yet y....you know my personal motivation for asking the question. It h...has been the fo...focus of my work for a long, long time.

You'll have to excuse me for not referring to you with your title beforehand. I didn't know you were a Doctor. Makes me wonder, actually, what field do you specialize in? I assume it has something to do with robotics? Maybe even directly artificial intelligence involved? Ah, no matter!

Your timing couldn't have been any better though. I just emerged from the Akhetaten's medbay not many hours ago, after sustaining some minor injuries. Nothing to worry about. I'll indeed be rather busy on the days to come, but while I'm still recovering I do have plenty of free time on my hands, time away from the Akhetaten's bridge.

As for the matter you're bringing up, I cannot speak for the other Houses, nor can I share such information about Liberty because it's highly classified, but I'll have you assured that no such circumstance would be a threat to the Republic. Our systems and cyber-warfare suites are far more advanced than what might be floating around in public or what rumors may suggest.

You needn't look far to confirm those claims, either. You've already seen the culmination of them in action.

I'm not against making friends, Doctor, and neither would I be against meeting you. Got any suggestions in mind?

It most certainly has been a hot minute. I'm sorry I left you hanging, lot's of things happened after my last transmission and I ended up forgetting. You said you saw me in Colorado? That's odd. Not because I haven't been in Colorado - that's where the Akhetaten is currently deployed - but because I don't remember speaking to you.

Whichever the case, I'm sure you're well aware of the current situation and how we're on the edge of a war starting. You were worrying about artificial intelligence and all that, last time we spoke, and yet here we are proving that the biggest enemy of humanity is humanity itself.

No, I'm afraid I don't know much about the mercenary group you're referring to, but my advice is to keep a high guard when dealing with mercs of any sort.

Good to know you're still around and kicking, though. How's life been treating you?

I was aboard the Soteria when it passed thr...through the checkpoint from Galileo into Colorado. It was brief, you were a busy bean, and I desperately needed to refuel. It wa...w...wa...[sighs]. It was a long way from the Sigma's.

With the news that came out, and the leaks from the Lane Hackers, it's looking less and less likely Galielo's going to calm down. You're right, last we spoke artificial intelligence worried me to the core but now? It's ha...hard not to worry what kind of damage a conflict with that kind of tech's going to bring.

Ah, yes, I do remember the Soteria passing through the jumpgate towards Colorado. And yeah, unfortunately the last few weeks have been very busy. Not only does Forty-sixth Command have a lot of work, much of which gets redirected to me by Vice Admiral Uhmen, but the field isn't any calmer either.

I've got a shift later tonight so if you're planning to fly around Liberty we'll probably run into each other. Could chat a bit if you'd like that. Doesn't feel quite right to talk about how we're doing over the neural net, feels a little too anonymous over pre-recorded transmissions, is all.

I'm good, generally speaking. Life has been well, apart from the clownfest going on lately. If you exclude the last few weeks, the Akhetaten hasn't seen much on-field time. The crew had been mostly laid off on temporary vacation and R&R while the warship was undergoing deep maintenance in the shipyard. Probably explains why you didn't see me or the ship around for a while, in case you were wondering.
