RE: To: Pathfinders || '\S/' - TheKusari - 08-04-2025 RE: To: Pathfinders || '\S/' - Leo - 08-05-2025 ![]() ![]() IDENT: FLINTLOCKE SUBJ: RE: SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION ENCP: HIGH You will have to forgive us, Mr. McKenzie. We've been outside of communication range for a considerable amount of time. We ventured beyond the Rim and as such any communication relays from Sirius proper. We've only just returned within range of Roussillon from the Lambda cluster to find active combat occurring in the system at a more fervent pace than when we left. We've since relocated to Orkney and are preparing for a secondary excursion into the black as soon as our restock is complete. The jump to Pi did net some interesting scans--all of which were forwarded on to your people to review. Thanks to our advanced sensor suite, we were able to penetrate much deeper into the strange structure at the center of the mine field than any other ships would be capable of. However, the dangerous levels of radiation within the mine field and the considerable doses from the ruin itself proved to be too much for the Darkhorse to handle and we were forced to execute an emergency jump from within the minefield itself. Luckily, no damage was caused during said jump and we safely repaired at Livadia Shipyards a few hours later. In regards to your suggestion to work more closely together, that is of course acceptable to our crew. We've received updates from our former bosses in SLRC. T'would seem they are more active again as well. Perhaps a project between the three of us would net us beneficial gains. Time will tell in the future though, I suppose. We will be out of communications range again for a time. Should any of your people wish to join us on this excursion into deep space, please have them meet us in Orkney and we will see they are provided room and board, as well as equipment necessary to take scans of the locations we are heading. We will standby in system for 12 hours in expectant arrival of one of your staff. If none show, we will depart the system anon. [Dante nods off camera and the communication ends. RE: To: Pathfinders || '\S/' - Leo - 08-10-2025 ![]() ![]() IDENT: FLINTLOCKE SUBJ: RE: SUCCESSFUL EXPEDITION ENCP: HIGH Quite, it t'would seem that Leo finally decided to do what he thought was necessary and took his position at the head of Starlight. We've been contacted by him to, "rejoin the team", so to speak. In discussions with the crew of the Darkhorse and the accompanying Zenith, we've decided to accept their offer and have once again resumed duties under the Consortium. As has always been the case Albert, the Starfliers are always welcome to join Starlight in our exploration and research duties. You have been our "partners in crime" since the halycon days of our respective formations, and I do not see that ending anytime soon. We'll be outside of communications range after this message is sent, but we hope to see you again within approximately a week. Also, Leo wanted me to send you something...something concerning. We recently did a pass through Dublin to do regular scans of the destroyed New London jump gate there. We have been doing regular scans of the forming anomaly at it's center since it's destruction. We were ordered to aim our powerful scanning array at it considering smaller ships have been getting increasing levels of interference from it over the recent months...the report below is from myself to Dr. Morningstar. It's important both of our teams invest resources into studying these anomalies considering our proximity to a major one. We will speak again, soon. I wish you the best.
