In response to recent developments within the Galileo System, the Kusari Office of Intelligence, acting under Contingency Directive 17, the Raijin Protocol, seeks to open a formal line of communication with both the Admiralty of the Kusari Naval Forces and the Shogunate directly as tensions between the Empire of Kusari and the Republic of Liberty escalate. All capable assets under my command have been reassigned from Kyushu and Tau-29 to Shikoku and Galileo immediately. We welcome your swift relocation of assets and will reach out to the State Police to keep them informed, so that they are aware of potential needs to bolster their own patrols at our Tau borders. Whereas the usual doctrine here is to leave operational command to the Lord Commander of the KOI, his decision to see your and other units fall under our oversight is most welcome and admittedly a pleasant surprise.
Current local command is handled by Kaigun Gensui Okamoto, with Lord Protector Mitsuo acting as a strategic advisor. The Totsugekitai Division shifted most of their operations to the region as well. Beyond requesting basic operative coordination with them, we will refrain from interfering with your units, Nakashima-san. The units operating under the various Contingency Directives are highly professional, we recall some of their deeds during our quest to return from Exile, so you will not require any handholding from our side. Consider Contingency Directive 17 as activated.
