It is with great pleasure that I am sending this transmission to inform you that I have an update on PROJECT ISHIDOUROU. As you have no doubtedly been briefed, the recent tensions between our great house of Kusari and that of Liberty have reached another level, and that significant signs of activity have centered around the system of Galileo. This system, once a rather fond border, has become one full of suspicion and distrust. This is not too surprising given the proximity of it between the two houses, and the rather important resources located within it's fields. As part of the recent mobilizations of forces, it has been imperative that we move to achieve any advantage possible in these concerning times. I believe that our strength lies in our technology and corporations that form the backbone of the Kusari Empire. It is because of this, that with great skill, we have managed to procure several shipments of expensive technological components from various corporations, which will be used to form a main aim of this project. As we speak, there is construction underway on a new prototype destroyer of the "Ikazuchi" class at Ionic Laboratories. This new prototype, currently assigned the name "IKN-Tone", is an adaptation of the original design, but with certain compartments removed and changed for advanced sensor suites and fuel reserves suited to deep space navigation. It is the aim of PROJECT ISHIDOUROU to have this advanced prototype vessel navigate the deep nebulae of the Galileo system, in order to collect signature data and samples from the nebula in order to detect and track Liberty Navy jump portal activity. It is hoped that with the collection of such sensitive data, it will not only serve as intelligence to ready our naval forces, but also help our advanced engineers at Kishiro to develop systems that can accurately track and monitor such detections, allowing us to always be one step ahead of our adversaries. Once the vessel reaches it's final stages of completion, I will be able to give you more information on the next stages of the project. Santo Kaisa - Takaki Kichiro |
