Space F1-ing - Altaris - 05-24-2009 Yo. I wondering if there is a way to simply increase the disconnect time of those who are using F1 in space to evade conflicts and remain untouched. I think 59 seconds isn't much, to notice, if player is still writing to chat, or he want to find you to send you PM, or he really logged off. This would also mean, that if he really logged off and his ship still remains in space, you can just shoot him and destroy him, so he won't gain anything. Space F1-ing - Reverend Del - 05-24-2009 Good idea. Let's up it to 1 minute 59 seconds and see what happens. Works well, expect and Admin Notice in really short order. Space F1-ing - Birdtalon - 05-24-2009 Yeh sounds like a good idea. I support that Space F1-ing - schlurbi - 05-24-2009 people are slow at typing in rp when youre pirating you normally wait, and then just see the ship vanishing. I remember this happening to me while pirating a Trader, i had screenies, but i think not enough so i didnt report but put a bounty on him. EDIT: Ah i think i understand your Idea after the 4th time of reading. Do you mean the ship remains in space after you see the message that he left? Space F1-ing - Jamez - 05-24-2009 Ugh.. 59 seconds is tedious enough to wait for if my router decides to crash. Space F1-ing - Reverend Del - 05-24-2009 Tedium is a small price to pay to save on sanction reports. I mean, I've been flying as a Xeno in that hellhole called Liberty for a while now, and I haven't even seen one F-1. Departed right when i was about to kill him. I gave him 10 seconds to respond. On 8th second he departed Space F1-ing - tazuras - 05-24-2009 Yeah, I have to say I am not a huge fan of this, I sometimes have intermittent connection issues, partly because my ISP, and one minute is already a fairly long wait. If it actually reduced the number of sanctions then sure, leave it like this, but if it doesnt, change it back please. Space F1-ing - Altaris - 05-24-2009 ' Wrote:people are slow at typing in rp No not really. When he using F1 in space, he wont be logged off, he will be kicked. At the time of kick, his ship remains in space. But after 59, his ship disappear. |
