PSA: Imgur Geoblocking in the UK - Laz - 09-30-2025
The vast majority of images on this forum are hosted at Imgur, but as of today Imgur has geoblocked the UK so users (who don't use a VPN) no longer see images. I can only assume this is due to the OSA.
As a result of these changes, the vast majority of the forum is now unusable in the UK without some kind of workaround. An alternative host that can be used in https://catbox.moe, but I highly suggest we find a solution that does not require an external host as (just like in the past with hosts like photobox), large portions of the forum can break and never be fixed, leading to a permanent loss. From a quick browse, the biggest victims of this are communication pages and faction pages, which are almost impossible to view now.

probably any external host will follow the law , perhaps even more countries would adopt it too,
there's only one option, internal host or just using text

I've been using postimages recently due to imgur being a doo-doo over the last few months. Hopefully it won't fall under the same fate.

Brilliant. Every day I ask myself, the UK is at rock bottom. Then they start to dig.
To be honest; I have no solution other than using catbox.moe or other free image host that works...
