Partial event kill credit - TheSauron - 10-06-2025

Hello.

I have already brought this up in the event lounge not long before making this post. I think it would be a pretty big improvement if kills during events were credited based on % of the damage done, instead of just best one takes all. As it is right now, the event rewards are disproportionally lopsided towards whoever happens to be the best shot on the given team, with everyone else getting shafted out of their earnings.

Let's take a hypothetical example: You have a group of players score five kills over the course of an event battle. Player A scored 30%, B and C 25% while Player D scored 20% of each of those five kills. In the current system, player A gets all five points and credit rewards despite doing barely any more work than the other three. I think that is straight up unfair and a waste of time of the other players. To fix this, I'd like to propose the following:

Each event kill now grants 100 points instead of just 1. Those 100 points are divided between every kill contributor, not just the top three. In this case, Player A would get 5x30 points, B and C would receive 5x25 points, while D gets 5x20 points. We now have Player A with 150 points, Players B and C with 125 points each and Player D with 100 points. All proportional to the amount of work they put in, all of them able to hopefully claim something off the rewards list, even if it's just extra credits. Of course, reward thresholds would have to grow accordingly with the point numbers (likely a simple x100).

Alongside the points, the baseline credit bounty for event kills should also be split accordingly.

I think this change would be good to have. While I understand this will be a big hit to the people usually dominating the leaderboards, I think this will make events a lot more rewarding (ehe) for the average Joe taking part. And, frankly, there are many more Joes than aces going around.

Poll above, as usual.

Thanks.

Hiya there.

It does make sense that the kills are more evenly distributed.. And yeah, unfortunately for many players, We*'re not all 'aces', We show up, shoot where we're told to, then explode (with some luck having lasted more than 1 minute (phrasing), just trying to have some fun. And just being entirely excluded despite having done at least some contributions - that will inexorably go toward the last person killing the hostile target(s), makes sense. Of course it's only my opinion

However, maybe it will be quite difficult to implement in-game? Maybe it can be easily added, after all, the game now lists the assist kills.
Proportional, damage-share split on both points and baseline credits, rather than the last-hit scramble where everyone piles onto a barely-alive target for a single kill before dying. It would mean fairer distribution (the whole point, I know, big revelation), and more people meeting said thresholds, and incentivize us for the next event.

*: "We/us" here isn't absolutely everyone, just players like me who actually suck at PVP.

Anyway; aye.

Better luck next time. Though of course some rewards to "active and those who played the objective instead of farming kills" would be nice.
