GUIDELINES

/╬\ Character Creation:

Noth Squadron is made up exclusively of thralls "recruited" from all around Sirius devoid of any "fancy" psychic abilities or perks -- technically, a Wild-lite kind of faction. The kind of background a character has tends to influence their reputation with other Noth Pilots, as such it is a good idea to think twice before choosing your origin.

Example: An ex-Military character is likely to not be on best terms with a Unioner, Red Hessian or Bundschuh. A former Molly will loathe the presence of a former Corsair, Armed Forces or Police.

A good character often has their own personal "reputation sheet" (who they like and dislike from the start) which can change over time, a story that links to their abduction and a complex personality.

/╬\ Character Types:

Thralls have two subtypes. There are more "compliant" kind, indoctrinated on the sly with constant exposure and out in the open (relatively survival rate, and next to no brain damage) up until a boiling point when they turn themselves over to the Wild by their own free will -- however false it is. And then there is the subjugated kind with medium to low survival rate and varying amounts of brain damage resulting in the occasional psychological defect. These tend to fight a lot more -- both before being properly abducted and after in the processing chambers.

Both types eventually believe that they've willingly left their parent faction for their own personal reasons -- no matter how fantastic they were -- and eventually end up being assigned to Noth Squadron.

/╬\ In-Faction Conflict:

Noth Squadron is by no means a "one mind, one purpose" faction. Every character has its own agenda. The uniting factor is a constant need to survive, please the big bosses (Altair Command) and supply the other Wild Factions with whatever they need to do their own schemes. Outside of those objectives, The Wild has little care for what happens within the Squadron. Other Noth Pilots are just as likely to shoot you as anyone else is outside the faction, if they dislike you hard enough that is. It happened enough times for it to deserve a separate warning.

Keep your head low, try to get along with others, or bloody your hands. How other characters see yours is entirely up to you.

/╬\ How Recruitment Works:

You pitch a character idea with the form below and wait up to two days, after which you can send a message to this account as a sort of reminder. If the concept is good enough and has potential, you'll enter an interview phase. Depending on how new or old you are in the Discovery Community, you will receive an appropriate introduction to the internal ruleset and mechanics -- provided your application is accepted.
