Liberty Navy 46th Fleet - Task Force Akhetaten
A general note regarding the Task Groups section.
This section explains the difference between Task Group Akhetaten One (TGA One), Task Group Akhetaten Two (TGA Two) and the Special Operations Group (Spec Ops), the three task groups that Task Force Akhetaten is split into. Details of how each group operates are here, as well as a table containing all assets and which group they belong to.

Task Groups
With the Liberty Government approving Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen's request for the Akhetaten as well as Task Force Akhetaten receiving extended zone of operations as well as complete operational independency, Uhmen saw fit to separate the task force into two task groups in order to ensure that the task force remains a strong factor as far as the defense of Liberty sovereign space is concerned. With that in mind, Task Group Akhetaten One and Task Group Akhetaten Two - referred to as TGA One and TGA Two respectively - were formed.
Additionally to the above two task groups, a third one was created later down the line in order to take care of the task forces more unique needs. This group is the Special Operations Group (Spec Ops) and it serves the purpose of completing missions that don't belong to TGA One's or Two's jurisdiction. Currently, the only assigned vessel within Spec Ops is the LNS Sacramento, a Longhorn-class transport that is part of the TFA supply ship fleet.
Naturally, the Logistics Fleet is not the only possible candidate for being part of this group. Possible Search and Rescue (S&R), Research and Development (R&D) or otherwise uniquely fitted and purposed ships that may be created in the future will all serve under Spec Ops.
In more detail;
⊳ TGA One- Commanding officer: Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen.
- Spearheaded by the Akhetaten, and escorted by various lighter assets of the task force; exclusively cruisers and below.
- Operational independence has been granted to the Akhetaten and is applicable to all assets of this contingent that are escorting the battlecruiser.
- Often operates outside Liberty space but is not restricted from operating within Liberty space and being employed in standard Navy operations.
- Is in direct coordination with allies local to the active area of operations.
- Focuses on intelligence gathering and surgical strikes against enemies of the Republic.
⊳ TGA Two- Commanding officer: Commodore Luisa Chiavallati.
- Spearheaded by the New Jersey, and contains the heaviest assets of the task force; all battleships, battlecruisers as well as their garrisons.
- Standard Liberty Navy rules of engagement are employed.
- Operates only under standard Forty-Sixth Fleet etiquette and area of operations.
- Heavy firepower is employed to ensure combat superiority against threats towards the Republic.
⊳ Spec Ops- Commanding officer: Captain Samantha Brown.
- As Spec Ops do not operate heavy warships, the Akhetaten assumes the role of being this group's flagship.
- Standard Liberty Navy rules of engagement are employed unless ordered otherwise in the presence of the Akhetaten.
- Deviation from standard Liberty Navy flight paths and operational zones may be encountered, depending on on-going mission protocols.
The three contingents make up Task Force Akhetaten, and thus direct command of all contingents falls to Vice Admiral Maria Uhmen. However, due to the Vice Admiral's inability to effectively command all at once, Commodore Chiavallati and Captain Brown were assigned command of TGA Two and Spec Ops respectively. Both Chiavallati and Brown have received enhanced permissions and their calls are only to be overwritten by members of the Admiralty under extreme circumstances. Chiavallati has full control over assets belonging to TGA Two, and reports directly to Uhmen. The same applies to Brown regarding Spec Ops.
This effectively makes Luisa Chiavallati the second in command of Task Force Akhetaten.
