/nodock command for non-house factions - LaWey - 11-26-2025

Give the "/nodock" command to all non-house OFs with "Can enforce laws" ID line for stations with their respective IFF.

Opinions?

Perfect, apply right now.

Can the Core and SCRA not already do that??

If so: Huhh, that's a little odd - I say, why not?

I thought it was already an idea to let OFLs nodock people (not just law enforcement)

Not the Technocrat ID becoming turbo OP for pirating in Lib/Bret.
The way /nodock works is that there is a list of bases eligible for /nodock and a list of IDs that can use it.
If a Technocrat ship can /nodock lib and bret corps, even the trader win condition of “dock” is denied to them.

???

that's not the point of the command and you'd get banned for turbo exploiting (also technocracy ID cannot pirate in lib/bret anyway so what kind of stupid "lemao gotcha" is that)

and even then it would be ideally reworked to only work on your own IFF

Why they will be able to block lib/bret corps? Even if plugin has shared list of nodock IFFs/bases for all police ids, there also system check iirc, so you can limit them only to systems where faction have base.

Tbh that a good question, is there any problems in way how plugin works, or its just question of admins agree with idea and add OFs ids in plugin?

If non-police OF want to restrict docking to a base of their affiliated npc faction, they can fill out a FR3 request like anyone else.

Admins of course will be very happy to apply FR3 to every smuggler ship.

Seriously though, FR3 is for making neutral+ IFFed persons hostile, its not a really measure to drop on random smuggler.

While /nodock serve to prevent people logoff/hide on base with same IFF as enforcer have, preserving logic of interaction.

I would do something like this again and again...

You forget, an OF doesn't own npc assets. You may request a change - but there is no guarantee, especially in case of corrupt or unlawful factions, an ingame command would make inRP sense.
There is always a rat/snitch/traitor who could open access for a ship.
