A couple Questions - Schattenkralle92 - 12-01-2025
Hello there,
I started out again recently and still try to get up to date with all that has happened since I last played. I came across some questions and I hope someone here can help me or point me in the right direction.
1. Is a Frigate considered a Capital / combat ship (like a Gunship)?
2. I want to aquire a civilian frigate, do I just buy one of the ship vendor or is there some form of Roleplay encouraged beforehand?
3. If so to which individuals do I best reach out ?
4. Can everyone build a player owned base or is there a minimum requirement for players to build one?

1: A frigate - if loaded with cargo and trading (AND without issuing demands) is treated as a Cargo (Transport) ship - It can combat dock without being PVP dead.
If you are not with cargo OR have issued a demand (monetary, RP or Cargo) from another player, the Frigate is considered a Combat ship for that instance. Read the Server Rules and House specific rules for extra details.
2: You can buy any Frigate you like from Solars (NPC Bases) or go to PoBs / Forum and request player manufactured ships - Longhorn, Bulwark.
3: DSE for Longhorn and Bristol for Bulwark (Shulsky won't give me one, maybe you have better luck). Jokes aside, for a Bulwark you only need to do some RP and the credits. Search on the forum - this way you get the hang of things and learn by yourself faster.
4: Yes - there are tutorials for PoBs. Find them on the Forum and read carefully. PoBs are a major time investment now.

Still for point 4:
If you want to be fancy, you can RP around the PoB and ask some x groups to aid you to keep it up. Sadly, a huge number of the PoBs are snowflakes with no story behind but just for money grinding... Else than that @R.P.Curator answered them all.
