On 19 Nov 2025, [GN]Or-26 engaged an order ID'd player ship in Provence while having a Gendarmerie arm ([GN]G-) ID mounted. There was no legitimate pretext for the engagement, as the Gendarmerie ([GN]G-) ID does not allow to enforce laws in said system. Given a prior record of violating ID lines and another recent sanction concerning pvp misconduct, we have decided to post a public sanction and remove the code guns off of one of your ships - the LSS|Whitehawk. Please make sure that you are familiar with and keep the the confines of the ID you are using, especially when representing an official faction.
If you require evidence, you may request such via PM from a Staff member. Only the accused or an official faction leader of the accused person's faction may request such. Once you have the evidence, and if you wish to dispute it, you may post in the Sanction Thread below. Do not continue PM'ing a staff member, as that will result in your Appeal being denied. If you PM a staff or post in the sanction thread and you are not directly involved, you are consenting to be subjected to the reprisal of my choice which may involve in game repercussions up to a ban. Generally we take a look at the last 12 months when considering recent history - most don't have a record within that time. Multiple cases of warnings and sanctions within that timeframe usually indicates a pattern of behavior that we'd like to see improve. If you feel that this practice is unfair, you may request an appeal - but keep in mind that making that 'recency' timeline shorter makes it increasingly meaningless as a consideration as even the vast majority of people with a history of recurring sanctions don't go on a spree.

Seems I need to remind one exact thing in public to be heard. Sanction says "we have decided to post a public sanction and remove the code guns off of one of your ships - the LSS|Whitehawk", meaning that shouldn't include all the cash deletion from that exact charachter, I was told that was transfered (by Krmloo) to the team almost a week ago, so please make it work how it must be.
I also would like to know further insight on how do you account "recent" sanctions, is having a sanction in past 12 month makes punishments worse, so in next year some of them will expire and less likely lead to that? Plus do you count that a player who is having 99x time more activity, specially pvp one than ordinary, unfortunetly, has higher chance of being reported and falsely accused how that already happened before? Isn't that just better to review each case independtly without some ununderstanble hidden rules, specially since votings on sanctions are not even public, which is by the way system I completely fail to understand, cause that's basically not how any justice works anywhere.
It is not urgent to make cash back, just want to know will it actually happen or I am just getting trolled by the staff, which is clear due to nature of punishment. Happy upcoming holidays.

When we look at sanction history in the context of sanctions, we look at patterns of behavior and try to assess what level of penalty is sufficient to discourage future infringement. In your instance, there were two separate similar incidents which were met with a warning, and then a light fine within a recent period (12 months) - usually a heads up is enough for most people to understand what is wrong before it becomes a problem. If that proves insufficient, we escalate until the message sinks in.
You're not being trolled by staff - we don't want rule violations to be a simple "pay the light fine or get the slap on the wrist warning as a cost of doing business" type thing, which requires that repeat violations necessarily become increasingly discouraging.

Hello, we want to say that we will be tweaking our ID wording as a result of this to be clearer. We also want to point out a long standing oversight - Unione Corse have law engagement line in Provence, but no laws are in the actionable section, for a VERY long time now. Having them there would both make the situation clearer and make the UC ID actually complete, with possibility to amend Gallic laws and make this clear to everyone, mentioning said laws. The system looks very much like core Gallic world with gates, trade lanes, locked in the house, navmap colours etc.
This is an issue of us as [GN] leadership, our unclear ID, inaction as part of the government, not warning our players, it happened on a shared ship so we will be reimbursing the player partially from our resources.
And we would urge staff to move forward and push up the process of Corse laws being functional on the priority list so we can make this unique Provence case known wide and clear in laws and in and out of roleplay.

Punishment which included remove of codes together worth of around 50 mils is enough harsh punishments plus the text just states which that exact punishment, not the cash removal. I also believe that you don't want rule violations to be a simple "we troll you and make your will to play zero, so you just not enter game anymore"
