Keeping Discovery up to date outside the forum and discord enviroment - sindroms - 12-23-2025 Hello, gents. I tend to drop these reminders now and again, usually in Discord or otherwise, but I need this to be something the community is aware of, not just the parties responsible for this. Players come and go. Please make sure that the usual suspects when it comes to players discovering Discovery is alive and well. ModDB, Nexus Mods, etc. Our current pages there are from 2023. https://www.nexusmods.com/freelancer/mods/13 https://www.moddb.com/mods/discovery-freelancer I know that we are all adults here and now 3 years does not seem much, but that is the difference between us having import ships and moving on to flhook restart commands, timespan wise. If you still care for Disco and enjoy spending your time in it, please consider keeping it alive by keeping all relevant sites and resources up to date. RE: Keeping Discovery up to date outside the forum and discord enviroment - sindroms - 02-18-2026 I realize I posted this thread back when an update hit and one of the devs posted 10+ threads at the same time, so please consider this as the 2month check-in bump that it is. Like, realtalk, this is kinda important. I cannot tell someone to check out the mod in 2026, when they look at their mod site of choice and see it has been ''dead'' for 3 years. If we do not have the capacity to keep the entries up to date, we might benefit from removing them at all so as not to appear discontinued/abandoned. RE: Keeping Discovery up to date outside the forum and discord enviroment - Kalhmera - 02-18-2026 I'm sure the staff can create a position within the team who updates these sites. I agree from the state of these sites it looks like no work is being done. |
