Good evening neighbors.

This is Dr. Sailas Montgomery, Director for SLRC at Ikarus Station. I hope your year has been profitable thus far. I'm reaching out because we had a discussion with a local Kishiro vessel in Tau-29 and later in Tau-23 when we were showing them the local Anomaly and our station in the local group. We had a discussion about a mission upcoming between yourselves and them--and now, seemingly, us. They advised we reach out to you for further details.

We've assigned the Darkhorse, our Pathfinder-class Cruiser to join the team in the coming days/weeks concerning this mission but we lack additional insight as to what we are to be doing. I'm hoping that you can illuminate us on this so that we have the relevant details so to know what to prepare for.

A note for your teams which should be mentioned up front: The Darkhorse does not possess weapons. Instead those power flows for the TacLink systems have been redirected into a modified scanner array installed by the 34th Order Squadron in Omicron Delta. The Cruiser is currently finishing an additional retrofit in Omicron Kappa for a drop/docking bay where the main weapons systems used to be installed. This means that, effectively, the ship is defenseless and is used as a scientific vessel and not one of war--but is extremely capable of scanning power as well as discovery. If this mission is to be into a hostile environment, we would need cover for our people onboard the Darkhorse.

We've attached the discussion with the Kishiro vessel in the attachments of this message for your review as necessary.

Please advise. Looking forward to working with you!
