Returning player need help - deepak - 02-05-2026
Hi. Last evening (my time), I logged in the game on my Freelancer ID character and decided to do a trade run from the system I was in. I packed my ship with cargo and after relearning the ropes on controls I decided that Nansai Reseach Station was my best option. As I reached there I realised they were red to me and I was red to them. I think it was the npcs including some battleship or just weapon platform that made a short work of my transport ship. I am not sure but maybe it is because of some past choices of how I might went green with one faction and ended up with red with other..
Is there a way to know if a station is red or green or neutral before we reach them if the same station is something we have already discovered.
If this is not possible then perhaps a way to reset the faction status on my character in line with my ID.

Here there, Deepak, welcome back to Discovery.
There are a few commands that can be used for this purpose. Freelancer ID should be neutral with most (except for the Alien factions such as Nomads, Vagrants, Wild, Wendigo, etc.). However, if you didn't use a restart command after joining, KOI may be hostile by default.
Using "/resetrep" will default all of your reputations to what is configured for your ID though doing this may drop your Freelancer IFF. If you want that back after that, use /freelancer to set your IFF back on your ship. IIRC, the /resetrep command requires 10,000 credits and can only be used once every two weeks though some can fact check me on that.
If you have any issues, just reply and myself or one of the other players here can help!
