March 14th, 746 AGS ![]() Sender: Colonel Julie Lapierre, Gallic Security Bureau Recipient: Christian Burton, Phoenix Subject: Request from an old ally
Monsieur Burton,
It has been a while since the Bureau has had contact with your organization, and it is for a good reason. These are unsettling times for the future of Gallia and the Bureau in particular. Allow me to be blunt with you: unfortunately, Director de Lusignan has been forced out of action due to dire coincidence and is currently unable to perform his duties. At the moment, I am the acting Director of the Gallic Security Bureau and am allocating resources to the project of restoring the Director's health. In this difficult time, we need your assistance as an old acquaintance of the Director. Due to security measures, we cannot allow ourselves to stay in Gallia and put the Director's life in danger, as he is the only one to bear the vision of a better Gallia. The acquisition of the technology we require for the Director's recuperation is deemed impossible at present, since Gallia's industry does not possess the required technologies. We would appreciate your consultation on this matter, but for now we prefer to stay in the Edge Worlds to perform certain studies that are required to pursue our goals. However, we cannot risk being compromised by our own people and henceforth will require supplies from the Phoenix, as well as permission to use your drydocks in case our flagship, the Renaissance, suffers severe damage during this research endeavour. Appropriate reward will be ensured upon resolution of the matter. End of Message
