[NM Shimbun]Announcing the 1st Annual Utsunomiya Grand Sirius Cultural Festival!

Today, a statement put by the Directorate of the Interior has announced that a Cuisine and Culture festival has been announced to take place in New Minowa at Sunobashi Park will take place on April 4th from 09:00 Sirian Mean Time to 20:00 Sirian Mean Time. The festival was announced following internal discussions initiated by head of state Nodoka Hanamura. The festival invites all walks of life to attend, and even contribute, as stalls and event spaces are open for reservation! A primary focus of the festival, will be an introduction to Pre-Sirian Kusari cuisine, from Terran Japan, Korea and China.

Whilst eyes shift now to the Sigma Totsugeki, and it cannot be denied that the event has inspired the DoI to follow in its' footsteps, the hope of the festival is to get eyes on our bustling new nation and to help promote the history and culture of both Sirius and Sol.

When reached for Comment, Head of State Hanamura stated that " Whether you believe the stories of my origin or no, our shared home of Sol - Earth, is important. It is where much of our culture, be it our religious beliefs, our cuisine, many of our schools of thought, or even the pastimes we enjoy were birthed from. Whether you are a Libertonian that has never touched the stars, or a Zoner that has never felt the grass between your toes - this is where our species at its' soul, calls home. Whilst she may be lightyears away, we should celebrate what makes us all unique, and witness how far our species has come. So please, be your Maltese or Cretan, Bretonian or Libertonian, Rheinlandic or Gallic, IMG or even the GMG. Let us come together to experience what makes us human."

Whilst the invitation so far has been positively received by many, parties from the GMG, Crete, Order and Coalition have expressed reservations about the Ouroboros' - now UMC's disposition and even transgressions from the GMG in the past. In response, Hanamura has expressed that the Midori District where the park resides, as well as the dedicated shuttle landing area, will be treated as a purely neutral zone, governed by 'Freeport Doctrine', wherein a private Zoner PMC not within Utsunomiyan jurisdiction will be responsible for security detail, and all parties will be forbidden from carrying firearm or weapons of any kind. Regardless, the IoD is welcoming anyone and everyone from across Sirius to participate in and enjoy the festival.
