SUBJECT: Strategic Consultation regarding Kusari Trade Corridors


To the representatives of the Liberty government,

The Junkers Congress has been closely monitoring the current hostilities between Liberty and the Kusari Empire. In a conflict of this magnitude, the front lines are often defined by dreadnoughts and skirmishes, but the final outcome is invariably decided by the movement of credits and resources.

We have heard through various channels that the pressure on your borders is mounting. Consequently, the Congress is prepared to initiate a policy of Active Economic Interdiction.

Members of Congress are perfectly positioned to identify and engage civilian and corporate targets travelling from Kusari to Liberty. By disrupting their supply chains and dismantling their economic footprint in the border worlds, we intend to make their war effort unsustainable.

To ensure this cooperation remains both effective and disciplined, I request that the Liberty government provide a formal set of Rules of Engagement. Defining the specific parameters under which the Republic wishes us to operate will ensure that the Congress does not inadvertently cross into restricted zones or target entities that the Liberty government still deems neutral.

We do not seek official recognition or state funding. We merely wish to ensure that while Liberty focuses on the Kusari Naval Forces, the shadows of the trade lanes remain under a control that favours the Republic’s interests. We trust that the Liberty government will recognise the holistic value of this cooperation and ensure that our salvage and trade vessels are afforded the necessary latitude as they navigate Liberty space to facilitate this disruption.

Well then, this is quite the proposition you've sent our way. That being said, the Libertonian government ain't capable of making a commitment such as what you laid out at this time. If you were inclined to approach a group with a smidge more operational leeway, then they might be able to work with you and yours on what you suggested. I reckon said groups might at least hear you out on that.
