Your Xbox 360(s)... - Guest - 06-04-2009 Since 2006, I had a total of 6 Xbox 360. 6!!! That's 2 Xbox each years!!! What happened to yours? 1st: 3 Rings of death during a game of BF 2: Modern Combat 2nd: 3 Rings while playing Halo 2 3rd: 3 Rings while playing Oblivion. All game datas erased. 4th: CD scratching malfunction. GTA 4, Rainbow Six: Vegas, Halo 3, Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Oblivion were all too scratched (with perfectly circular scratches!) to be read. After hours of arguing, we managed to get new copies for CoD4 and Oblivion 5th: E74 while playing Tales of Vesperia. Lost all data from this game. 6th: This morning, while playing CoD4, I had a 3 Rings of Death. And what's YOUR story? Your Xbox 360(s)... - EverBlue - 06-04-2009 I got the 3 rings after I bought a Tetris game. TETRIS! Bought a second one that lasted a week, before it froze up while playing Vampire Rain. Vampire Rain was a ****ty game, no wonder the 360 died. I returned it, got another one. It red ringed about a half-year ago. Sent it to M$ for repairs. I rarely touch it now in fear of more problems. I bought a PS3. I play that when I get tired of PC Gaming. Your Xbox 360(s)... - Fletcher - 06-04-2009 I highly recommend you follow these instructions, and never buy core or 20Gb systems from anyone. http://www.nextgg.com/How-to-maintain-your-Xbox-360-01.html That site holds truth, follow it to keep your Xbox healthy happy, and full of expensive discs. Your Xbox 360(s)... - AJBeast - 06-04-2009 I have yet to get one single RRD, and ive had my 360 since Chrismas. Most problems ive had was GTA4 blocking and not beeing able to connect to XBL. Nothing too serious though. About the guide: Nice find Fletcher! Im totally gonna try out some of those tips. Now where are those Legos ... Your Xbox 360(s)... - NerdRage - 06-04-2009 i'm thinking of getting a sexbox 360, if it catches the red ring of death, do you have to pay to get a new one? What ive heard is that Microsoft replaces it ... Not sure though Your Xbox 360(s)... - Exile - 06-04-2009 I think I've had mine for about 3-4 years now, and no ROD yet. I bought a XCM cooler for it which in turn seems to cool the entire room down, so maybe that's it. But yeah, no ROD's yet. Still using my first xbox. The only place I can place my 360 in my house is in a cabinet, horizontally, with the power brick well hidden. <.< Your Xbox 360(s)... - joshua - 06-04-2009 i hadn't played my xbox in about a week, so i went on to add a friend from school. it was being crappy, and suddenly i got an error message and 1 red ring. i tried again, and it worked, and then my screen goes black and i get 3 rings. i sent it in and it came back(with 1 month of live for the trouble) and now i play it no problem. i dont see how your xbox's seem to break so much. oh, and if you have 3 red rings, your warranty extends to 3 years. BTW my xbox was exactly 1 year old at the time. |
