First off i want to say thanks for all those who are helping this Ghost RP.....
Second....since Errant.Venture the ship, was kind of obliterated....and Errant.Venture the man shot his face off....the only real use i have for my scylla is shooting rocks with my mortar to see pretty colors.....
The RP is going well.....but is there a way we can make a ship or ships that look totally eerie and gruesome and scary....for RPing Ghosts and Ghoulies?
you could still do everything the same.....you know fighters, bombers, Gb's, cruisers, etc.....as the said ships would be more for RP....Armor would be a must, and good shield classes, but not so much weaponry
i mean like make a battle damaged transport or ship, with said damage showing....with an eerie greenish glow, and stuff all over its hull indicating its old....
Capricom sparked this idea when his Character RPed boarding my ghost ship in the badlands....
As this is more a RP server anyway, i think it could work, with more tweaking....and ghosts could apply/RP for a DEAD faction maybe? whose sole purpose would be to provide the universe with strange occurances, stories to tell in the bar, and RP of famed lost treasure....while also providing the spook affect in spooky places like the badlands, or in systems that large amounts of people dont travel....or in nebulas/other places of battles and treachery.....
I mean being a ghost is cool...and in the badlands, it can add an often spooky effect....
Anyway thats my 2 cents on the idea....Post away.

One thought is that if there was a dead people ship line, wouldn't everyone's ghost cruiser look alike?

ahh good question thought of that...
i was thinking different ships, assigned to different areas, like a lost transport in the omegas, or a fighter in badlands....etc
but yes....if everyone wanted a cruiser, i assume yes we would all look alike:(

Easy enough to do.
Take a normal model, take a few chunks from it. Retexture only one or two bits of it.
Basically taking a normal model and making it look a bit used.
I once did this with the Providence, it had no crew at all at one point and only ran on preset orders. The captain who was the last one known to be aboard was never heard of again.
Anyway, I'd love to see how this develops. The idea of 'ghost' ships that are essentially just relics or dead vessels is a great one. Adds atmosphere.

You can still break off ship components afaik.
Go get a normal vanilla model. Shoot off some wings.

well those willing to RP the ghost in NY have been kudoized.....
however most wont play along:(
and kurosora wont drop the fuel thing with a scylla....last time i checked ghosts dont use fuel

thats not what i meant....at least responding in some RP form is engaging RP....those that dont respond or make off the wall RP, or ///stop arent helping

Zapp did the most terrific RP along these lines and was widely applauded for his efforts.
I strongly suggest you investigate his works, as your own seems to be suffering from a few bouts of madness re: requesting ships and going hurr durr over people responding to your insistences with "lolwut".

the problems ive been having is Errant is in a dessie...and being "dead" isnt gonna stp trigger happy players from blasting said ghost out of the sky
so hes pretty much stuck in the badlands
