It says the Battleship License should read 12k away but only reads 10k. Why is that? Is it possible to make it read 12k like its suppose to?

The man raises a good point. Sorry to bump an old topic, but I've always wondered this. I've never noticed a significant change in the actual detection range in any of the scanners.

Yeah, the BS lisence scanner thing really doesnt work right, I was in the middle of delta and a guy was exactly 4k away and i could not scan him, The range is more or less 3.6k

Its like two or three seconds after.
