To my darling dears the XA. - Dusty Lens - 06-25-2009 As of this moment the XA consists of five members, JihadJoe, myself, Del, Tanker and Elsdragon. According to the one month per message dump rule the rest of you are fired. Joe, Tanker and myself are technically fired as well, yet hang on due to bribery at the highest levels. Suffice to say, regardless of outcome here, everyone is demoted to Juvenile. The message dump lies fallow, the bar is emptier than a Denver whorehouse the week before payday and I can't recall the last time I heard mention of an inkling towards personal character development. I'm not innocent of this, having left the faction for some time to pursue other interests, but this state of affairs is not becoming of our name. So this is not simply a rollcall. It is not simply a sound off. It is a moment to re-evaluate your drive and motivation to partake in this faction and the opportunities it provides to spin a particular brand of tale. Your character may be stale, your motivation slumped, you may be in the faction merely as a hangon from a period where the notion of flying alongside a group of persons sounded like an excellent idea. That is not an issue. That is something I would like to work with. What is an issue is to be found in the seeming miasma of apathy that has struck a number of groups, our own included. When the XA was formed it was largely under the mission of providing a standard for the large population of somewhat confused players running about with their heads up their asses. These days there are few who casually opt to become a Xeno as it's infinitely more attractive to partake in the Outcast and friends social piracy club. So our priorities need to shift towards resuming a standard of personal excellence in enhancing the local flavor of fair play, personal story telling and sowing the seeds of all manner of terror in the thrumming heart of some kid on the other side of the planet who just got their train full of multiplexers pwnd by a group of Xeno bombers. Everyone who wishes to remain in the XA please post in this thread. Then issue me a PM with the following information: 1) Character name and callsign. Formatted "First 'callsign' Last" (David "Copperhead" Chambers) 2) Skype contact information and current skype name. 3) Your feelings about the XA at the present. 4) Something you would see changed to hone your interest. 5) Your character biography, compared to the one you submitted when first applying to the faction, to showcase how you have developed your character since that point. 6) How you perceive your future with the XA. If you feel that you are going to take advantage of this opportunity to bow out I would still deeply appreciate responses to 3 and 4 in addition to expressing a hope that we'll encounter one another again regardless of what side of the fight we may be on. Seven days to reply. Individuals who are absent or otherwise incapable of responding at this time are noted and will be handled on a case by case basis. That is all. -Dusty Lens. To my darling dears the XA. - centauri5pirate - 06-25-2009 Due to my battle recently with DSE and the Liberty Lawful scum, and my ensuing stay in the Ouray Hospital, I am now notifying you that I'm still here boss. This is my first day I will be able to eat without a tube due to the severity of my injuries, hence my lack of presense at the Ouray Bar and Grill, and as soon as I can walk, I will be making an after-action report. The ability of making this post only comes from the assistance of my bedside nurse and her kindness for me. PM is being uploaded to your personal channel now sir...... Mojave out. To my darling dears the XA. - Capt. Henry Morgan - 06-25-2009 Dusty, It pains me to do this since the XA hold a very special place in my heart. I'm afraid that I have to officially say that I'm leaving the XA. I've been resisting doing this for some time, since the XA is where I got my start and I have a lot of fond memories of Znotiems past. Simply put, though, I've got too much going on, and I'm never active on my Xeno anymore. With being the leader of one official faction and now the leader of a fledgling pirate faction in Bretonia, I'm afraid that the time has come for me to part ways with some of the factions I'm less active in. I wish you guys well, and look forward to seeing you ingame in the future. Still, I thank you guys for all the good times we've had in the past, and I hope the door stays open should I have more time in the future. EDIT: I'll need somebody to kick me from the Xeno chats, since I can't get into them to remove myself. They lock up Skype for some reason. To my darling dears the XA. - Dusty Lens - 06-25-2009 It's a shame to see you go Glenn, but we'll still have plenty of opportunities to bump heads. You did a metric S ton of work for the XA, were amongst our first official recruit promotions and poured your heart into bringing all of us a step higher with your efforts of imagination. I'm very much so looking forward to carrying on with you vicariously through demanding your faction drop all of their cargo or die. *grins* <3 Glenn. |
