ROC Civilian Bomber - Hood - 06-25-2009
I fly a ROC civilian bomber and it looks ok from my perspective but 2 pilots just pointed out that to them it looks like the order bomber??

First, that wasn't a question.
Second, this isn't a bug, so you probably should have placed it in another forum.
Maybe it should go in "general discussion" or most likely "flood."
Third, It doesn't really look like a Roc, unless you're going by colour. Perhaps the width of the fighter and maybe its fin could make it appear to look like the Order Bomber to an untrained eye - but the engines are different, the cockpit is different, the wings are a reverse "v" and not a delta like the Order bomber, and the tailfin points the wrong way. The engines are really the main thing. They don't look like Order engines.
Really, what the other players are saying is fairly unfounded, and you shouldn't give them any heed or even worry about it.
As long as your tag and ID are whatever they are, you don't need to worry if a few people think your ship looks like something.

That said, I don't really see where people say it looks like the Order Bomber.
Same sort of color, maybe... but that's about it.

Sprolf, that's the Sekhmet (I think) model being displayed for the Roc. The actual Roc model and Order models are reasonably distinct, but it's displaying the wrong one.
I remember that the Roc used to morph into a Bumblebee... this at least is a little closer, but I wonder if there's an issue with the ship coding somewhere. Definitely something to check out.

I'm not going to try to figure it out or justify that. I'm just clueless as to how I could miss that.
