My own......Generally i dont have these problems with other factions. Synth foods.My own.After the Double bribe, i have IFF, But cannot buy id.

A Synth Foods ID that can't be bought?
I find that hard to swallow. Have you bitten off more than you can chew? I'm sure I'll have to eat my words but it should be easy as pie. I know plenty of others who have it. Hah. Eat your heart out.
Ooops. Egg on my face for making a meal of this. Okay I'll eat humble pie. I'll bet a dollar to a donut there's an easy solution.

Where are you buying the ID? It may be that you do not have a high enough rep with the base-owning faction (if I recall correctly, Synth owns no bases), as item rep prerequisites are bases upon the faction that owns the base which sells the item.

Indeed, remember folks, the base owns the item, not the faction to which the item is assigned. Always check what NPC faction owns that particular base.

The moral of the story seems to be that Synth Foods should have at least one base. Possibly somewhere in the LWB zoi so that we may shoot it repeatedly every so often.

What tends to happen sometimes is that if you have a rep that is high with other factions as well, you often cannot buy the ID. An RFP bribe may have brought down your Liberty Lawful repuations a wee bit, which would allow for you to buy a Synth ID.
Of course, it might have just been what Dusty said...

That would explain IFF issues, not ID ones. Freelancer has a pretty simple purchase system- for every base, there is an owner, a list of equipment and a required reputation for each (in addition to all the other stuff); the equipment can only be bought if you have the required reputation with the owning faction. Wherever the Synth ID is bought (Stuttgart, I'm guessing) you need a certain reputation with the faction the base belongs to. You could buy the Synth ID while hostile to Synth Foods. Which is why they need a base... or control of Planet Stuttgart (although I don't think that's what our LWB friends had in mind).
