Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) - Hallelujah - 06-26-2009 ![]() Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) History and Story In 816. A.S. A High ranking member of a shipping company made a shadow organisation formed in secret in the depths of omicron space with the help of the Zoners the Coalition of Guidance was formed. Being Granted special access to the "Aquilon" Class Zoner Carrier on the sole base's that the Zoners get exclusive and free Information if and when needed. After being granted Access to this ship the CoG set about Refurbishing the interior to make it a mobile command center for there operations giving it Greater long range scanners. After a meeting on Freeport 9 with the Lane Hackers a deal was made for them to teach us everything they know about hacking and intelligence gathering thus forming an alliance between the Lane Hackers and CoG, This was a great day as CoG now had the ability to provide the service they set out to supply. after several months we became well known and thus as everything our alliance with the Lane Hackers was found and we where exiled by the Liberty government, instantly making us friendly with the Rhineland government thus making the Corsairs hostile to us which in turn made the outcasts neutral. While our main goal is unknown, our secondary goal is known to all as Information Brokers. other less important goals are exploration and research. Roumerd to be affiliated with a number of Different Organisations the most notable Being Kurosaki & Akane Shipping although the roumers have never been proven. Updated the Id/Iff the story and the tech tree Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) - frozen - 06-27-2009 as primary advisor to the leader of the hellfire legion, i'd like to address some issues. 1. you NEVER got into the hellfire legion. 2. you never asked permission to use the hellfire legion's name in your plans. 3. you are powergaming. 4. spyglasses are not meant to be used on a war front in RP, they are primarily as recon ships. 5. you buy a spyglass, you are on insta KoS of the hellfire legion. 6. you buy a LH gunboat, you are on insta hostile of the hellfire legion, and if declared hostile/KoS by the LH who control sales of the said ships, you will be elevated to insta KoS 7. you have no proper RP, everything you wrote was basically to justify the ships you mentioned. 8. this time, im just going to give you a warning, hoping you are smart enough not to make the same stupid mistake twice. 9. i highly suggest you rethink your entire idea. 10. hostile tone is hostile. With a regime more confusing and complex than anyone could imagine only A select few know there true intentions, unknown to even the most informed Militarys the CoG are a mystery nothing to this date is know who runs it or Who is in it everyone runs under an alias and the only members of the Whole Organization that know who each member really is are the Board members, Sworn to Secrecy and to live aboard the Stolen CoG Spyglass. nothing is known about them.... if every one new there secret thered be no RP... ruining it and making the whole faction pointless Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) - tazuras - 06-27-2009 THe special ops ID is admin granted only. Here are the requirements for each individual special ops ID: Quote:* Requests should only be made when the character's storyline cannot proceed without a request removing a major obstacle in the character's progress. Requests may only be made for character setups that are prohibited by the Technology Use chart, as indicated by a red or purple cell in the ID/faction group combination. Requests involving specialized IDs are highly discouraged. Requests should only involve IDs that have a faction Tag/IFF associated with them. The Special Operative ID cannot be used without a faction Tag/IFF. If you meet these requirements I will think about taking your proposal seriously. Edit: wait, are you neutral to nomads and phantoms and yeah... yeah, this would be rather impossible in RP. I suggest you do your research. Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) - Sprolf - 06-27-2009 As much as I love secretive organizations, conspiracies, and massive capital ships, I don't see this idea flying up these *exact* colours. The ID could most likely be changed. I doubt you're going to get a whole bunch of Special Operative IDs. Perhaps you could work out an RP "event" with the Hellfire Legion, and escape to the Omicrons with the Spyglass. That would be epic fun, I think. Otherwise, your might end up owning a large capital ship in rather uncomfortable conditions, with some people ending up vexed, irked, and with axes to grind. I suppose that there it is to your credit that you only use one capital ship, albethe capital ship you use is under the previously touched upon uncomfortable conditions. Coalition of Guidance (CoG|) - sovereign - 06-27-2009 It is, as you so nicely stated, up to the Hellfire Legion. The person you said that to is the Hellfire Legion. More or less. Running a faction out of Special Operative IDs entirely is.. well, ehem (EDIT: been addressed, moving right along)... and you can't be neutral to everyone. Having a Spyglass makes Liberty hate you without question, and the Lane Hackers/Hellfire Legion as well if they didn't let you have it. Your story also makes it quite clear that the Lane Hackers will hate you with a fiery passion, and will likely ask their close allies the Rogues and Outcasts to hate you too. So that's a lot of enemies right off that bat- going near Liberty or the upper Omicrons is suicide for such people. Then there's the matter of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend"- except... the enemies of the Lane Hackers are just Liberty, and Liberty hates anyone with a Spyglass. People don't just "take in" renegade warships, they have to look out for themselves. And a team who promises to infiltrate anyone for the right price? Good luck finding shelter, you're more likely to be shot on suspicion of conducting "business". The Zoners might- might grant you asylum if you handed your LH ships back after a stunt like that (with the understanding that if you ever tried to infiltrate them they would kill you to a man) and then you'd basically just be Freelancers with some enemies and some friends if you try hard enough- Which is really all you should be in the first place. |
