If you go to newcastle you will see a spikey thing, get closer like to one of the planets or staition (ark royal isnt enough) you can see its an alien city like from the end of the sp campaign. does it serve anyporpose?

Getting near you can see a Bretonian research institute that is studing the acient archeological ruins of a Nomad settlement in the Bretonian space. The pourpose of the institute is obviously to study the nomad technology. The pourpose of the Nomads... hey... I'm a human being, not a alien... ask to the Nomads. :P

This is something that I've wondered, too. Angel's systems bring up a couple of questions in my mind. What's going on with the alien city in Newcastle? Just what did happen to cause that debris in Omega 15? And how did the Corsairs fit that Osiris in that asteroid field?

Well the system editors could upgrade the rumors in Bretonia and Sirius about Newcastle with each version. Perhaps she put it there to be used in people's RP threads. I know she later used it near the end of Beginning of the End thread. Others could use it for similar purposes.
