The problem is you cannot simply 'remove' anything from the game. It causes character corruption to anyone who possesses the item. What should be done is remove them from all bases. Or possibly renamed/repriced to a new commodity.

Note that I said 'nuke' not 'remove.'
I'd rather remove them all than just eliminate them, myself. It's always a pleasure to shoot down an NPC and find a credit card in the wreckage.
