Well, after seeing frozen's new BHG turret models, I started thinking about what other turrets, stations, etc. could be made - models that would improve the game, but not be extra ships. After a few sketches on paper the first thing that stood out was old pirate-style cannons, and from that, we have this...

I'd say a projectile like the Drakes/Magma Hammers use, scaled up and changed in color to look more like a ball of fire, would work great =P

They look good, but give them the Skin as the Rogue/Molly ships have.

I dont know how to extract the texture files from freelancer =( this was textured with some basic spaceship hull textures I found on google.

Hehe. Nice, this needs to be added. Maybe a giant sized one on a cruiser for the main gun.

Very nice. Might even make those rogue ships look like real pirates.
This texture seems ok.
If they get 'camouflaged' inside the ship by the same tecture it will probably lose the nice pirate effect cause they stick out less?

I could definitely imagine something of the sort hurling some plasma, particle gun particles, or neutrons. In a very fun and dramatic way!
