Every time I get on my ]bd[, KSP, KNF, AFA, [|] (some of them though most of them are good) keep calling the Blood Dragons traitors.

Have some imagination, please. Within RP, its YOU who are the traitors, I am the one who gets to spam off at you guys being traitors, not the other way round. The only thing remotley traitorous we have really ever done is ally with the GC. All the stuff about killing innocent civillians is just silly propaganda, and I would expect most Kusari Citizens to know that, seeing as hundreds of innocent people died (killed by the KNF in the festival, and KNF who died by the Blood Dragons, however, that was in self defence). There is no evidence that this shogun was power-hungry, greedy, or dishonourable. If he was any of these things, he would not have committed suicide.

Kyoto Infocard:

Quote:The history of the Blood Dragons goes back to the fourth century. The founding members of the group were the Shogun’s Royal Guard during the Hideyoshi family dynasty. In a bloody coup during the celebration of the revived Sakura festival in 321 A.S., the Shogun was surrounded in the palace by Samura-backed elements of the military and asked to surrender, along with the Royal Guard. The Shogun, humiliated by the shame he had brought his family, committed suicide. The guards, headed by Kozue Okamura, did not acquiesce so easily. In a bloody battle, they fought their way out of the palace and retreated into the darkness of northern Kusari space. Here they regrouped and began a long guerrilla campaign aimed at overthrowing the Samura-controlled Kusari government.

The Blood Dragons are a tight group who hold the sympathy and support of individuals in the highest levels of Kusari government. They periodically launch surgical strikes and commando raids from their Kyoto base designed to destabilize the current government to the point where sympathetic officials could potentially seize power. Blood Dragons prefer to target Samura and Kusari Naval Forces bases and ships, although they occasionally attack other House shippers for supplies.

The group is loosely allied with the Golden Chrysanthemums, who provide refuge and a forward tactical base for assault crews in the Hokkaido system. The Golden C. also provide many of the essential Commodities that the Blood Dragons need, a critical function given the complete lack of Blood Dragon landing rights within the rest of Kusari space. The Chugoku Gate construction is viewed as a direct threat to the continued survival of the group.

So next time you want to call someone, join the Blood Dragons. All you kusari lawfuls, the next time you call me a traitor... I will get in my.... erm... tanto... and kill you.:D

Quote:What struck me most during the last time I saw both "foreigners" and Dragons/GC in action together against KNF/KSP was the Dragons calling the law traitors

Might be me, but I think those siding with a foreign power to complete domestic goals are to be called traitors.

As long as alone, sure, noble rebels and oppositionists.

Not attacking foreigners (QCP mainly) is only because the KNF are around. Would we not take killing Kusari first before killing the QCP? We have never sided with them.

Im not sure how Nova deals with all of this, but I can't really stand the lack of imagination. Don't you have anything to call us other than Traitor or Terrorist? (the latter I can accept, just the first...)

If someone can prove that the Blood Dragons are indeed true Traitors, (betraying the Kusari Empire doesn't count, they betrayed us first!) then i will... accept defeat and shrink back to kyoto.

EDIT: Just by the way, I walked into NY on my order, and I even had LN/LPI/LSF call me traitors...

Goddammit. *sigh*

For mr Not Amused and all of you who love bashing me up:

I agree with you here.

I can't think of anything else to say here, so I shall take my leave.

You are always a traitor for others and vise-verse...

Rheinland roleplay:

Player A: "Du Traitor!"
Player B: "NOOO! Du are Traitor!"
Player A: "No you are!
Player B: "No, no, no! You......"

and so on:crazy:

It is always the beliefs of one side. Thats why those groups formed.

Imagination people! - casero - 07-17-2009

How would you like to be called?

I find situations like that to be incredibly usefull if you want to say 'NO U!' In RP.

Both sides of the Kusari-Dragon conflict consider each other traitors and dishonourable. So neither side is incorrect in calling each other traitors, they only believe what they are told to believe after all. I think indoctrination is the term for it.

your example aside, people need to be more creative at pretty much everything they do. Too many words are over used on Discovery; "engaging" (and all spelling varients) "scum" "whore" (as a suffix to anything anyone doesn't like)

I think some people play their role more than their character.

That is well said and a fine distinction. I think a lot of players don't understand it. You should start a new topic on this very subject. Maybe it will help.

I agree with NightHawk. No one is a traitor.

I read this a while ago, but I typed emperor in the wiki randomly and the Kusari emprerors page showed up. Apparently during the first nomad war, he led a sqaudron against the Rhienland invaders heroically. He defended his country heroically. If you call those guys traitors, I'mma slapp yo face to kingdom come.
