Petition: Royal Liners (And Possibly Even Luxury Liners) - Eppy - 08-11-2009
People are complaining that they don't want to make Liners as powerful as anything that carries humans and costs that much appreciably should (I suspect most of them have many pirates). Quite simply, I'm sick of this and I want to get my time/money's worth. Therefore, in accordance with the nature of these ships (namely, huge, expensive and rare) I formally request that the Royal Liner be made available to players by Special RP Request only, and that the same action be considered for the standard Luxury Liner, which is surely a similar ship pricetag-wise and number-wise, albeit not as exclusive. This will prevent the much-dreaded Liner spam and allow the ships and those who choose to RP them to triumph over more punishment than normal transports can take, which, I remind, they should.

I think that that is a bad idea . It would completelly obliterate Orbital Spa & Cruise for once. And I really dont see Liners beeing spammed. The CTrans/BTrans is spammed a hell of alot more.
ALso , Liners are underpowered ? Seriously ?

I can see no reason why these ships should be further restricted.
The royal Liner can only be owned by Bretonian Companies, and Luxliners are getting rarer and rarer since the update, all the LuxLiner traders now fly the Zoner Whale, cause a countermasure is a better protection than 180000 Hull and 11 Guns.
Besides i have seen buckets of Slaveliner but next to non Luxliner reasently.
i kind of miss them...

Did you notice the asterisks? I placed them there. It was only phrasing suitable to express my aggravation with your petition. Take one ship after another and place them on the "Special request list" and we're going to end up in the situation I mentioned in my comment. We already lost many ("Huntress")
You should focus on that part of my comment and try to confront it with proper arguments if such exist...
P.S. In that case original designers of the game stole the ship from the "Fifth Element".

Luxury Liner can stay normal for me.
But the Royal Liner should only be buyable for Bretonians. And with a Role Play Reason.
