Long Range Strike missiles. - Guest - 08-13-2009 Video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjfBYKH9owA I made a thread about this earlier, wondering if these kind of missiles could be used to start hitting your opponent while he is out of range, but leaving the close range combat to guns, instead of missiles. So here you have it, a new type of missiles, using the Cannonball launcher as a test. Stats: Missile class 9 Hull damage per shot: 0 Shield damage per shot: 4 000 Blast Radius: 500m Range: 9000m Projectile Speed scale: 1 200m/s Refire rate: 1.00 Energy usage: 8500 (inferno) Targeting range: 9000m Targeting FOV: 120c Precision: ~100% (more or less like gunboat missiles, you CAN dodge them, but in theory you can't) Quote:[Motor] Note: Quote: delay = 5This means, the missile, when launched, is still for 5 more seconds. No shield Damage, why have it then? The only use for it i think is when your Target is fleeing in Cruise or Thruster. Dont think it will fly faster than a Cruising Ship though. You can use it on people trying to scan you or something. I wouldn't like one that exists as a hull buster like this, thats for sure. To avoid its use at short range - it would need a tracking delay and slower acceleration like the Nova Torp. I am working on one that is 0 hull damage, 0 sheld damage, but has an impulse on impact (like a flack turret) which knocks you about. perfect against bombers, don't you think? People already miss the Role Play at 1K Distance. Perhaps admin given only? or perhaps only the med level to high level faction military's are allowed to use it? But I don't think freelancer's should be given such weps, weps like these should be really expensive too, so like I said before, perhaps only med ranking to high ranking military factions members will be allowed to use it. |
