Zoner RP Solutions - Magoo! - 08-13-2009 Let it be known that any further flaming or griping will be glared at, or, if an admin is feeling nice, deleted. Grievances should be placed: HERE. Now then, since a number of people think bounties saying, "I don't like them, 200K for fighters" can be RP'd out, please post suggestions. Anybody saying, "Hey, I don't like that idea!" should be posted: HERE for ease. People saying, "Hey, I'm not a fan, maybe we could adjust it like so..." should be posted: HERE Go. Suggestions so far: Blunt Wrote:Imprison anyone that is currently involved in any conflict who lands on their bases. This is the easiest way to maintain neutrality. Linkus Wrote:~(In effect)~ Mobilize. Defend ourselves. Etc. Blue Spawn Wrote:Convert/give the Corsair population on GC Zoner citizenship to resolve the gripes about harboring pirates. Spear Wrote:Compromise, Zoner's should refuse Corsair (perhaps all faction's in order to not to offend Corsairs) ships of war docking rights on Gran Canaria, in return for Bretonian assurances that Zoner right to free trade remains unchanged and it's ships are unmolested in Bretonia. Lucend Wrote:I would like to add another option to the list provided in the original post. Ktayn Wrote:... If you go by canon, it seems the Zoners should kick the Corsairs out to build a base elsewhere in the system, yes? (Page 5 for full post) XTriton Wrote:I suggest that we all just let the QCP go ahead with their little RP, We will continue to stay the same, which is what most people really want. It was ok and fun the way it was so why change? QCP want to attack Zoners then thats their right as long as they keep it to RP and not pvpwhoring. Lucend Wrote:I think we're loosing perspective here. Magoo! Wrote:Anyways, my proposition, since some people seem to be missing various points provided by various people, that the Zoners outlaw the QCP from any system with a Zoner base in it. In that I mean that we find and gun them down if they mosey into one of our systems. Since, as has been established, they aren't under the Crown's control and are thus just a group of no-name pirates to anyone but themselves. Zoner RP Solutions - bluntpencil2001 - 08-13-2009 They should take the Swiss approach. Imprison anyone that is currently involved in any conflict who lands on their bases. This is the easiest way to maintain neutrality. Or give up neutrality. Zoner RP Solutions - Linkus - 08-13-2009 Evolve perhaps. I really do fail to see the problem with the bounty though. The Zoners have enough strength and allies to defend themselves against pretty much anything. I witnessed that first hand in Omega 49 yesterday. It's like the Rogues placing a bounty on the LN. Of course they may get shot at but anyone who takes up the bounty gets anihilated if the LN see em again. So yes, the Zoners should use their famed 'power and influence'. Instead of complaining about the bounty itself. Zoner RP Solutions - Spear - 08-13-2009 ' Wrote:Evolve perhaps. Well said. Zoner RP Solutions - DAnvilFan - 08-13-2009 Zoners can't give up neutrality because it's embedded roleplay. Imprisoning anyone who is at conflict would mean imprisoning everyone, because everyone is at conflict with someone. Freeports are called that for the very reason that they are free to anyone. The Corsairs living on Gran Canaria issue may be solved if all members living on the planet become Zoner citizens. I'm not sure how Corsair players would feel about this, but it seems natural for such a thing to happen. Zoners, by definition, are people that fled their Houses. The Bretonians and Corsairs living on Canaria have seperated themselves from their homeworlds. This by definition makes them Zoner. Zoner RP Solutions - Magoo! - 08-13-2009 Good start, kids. So far I'm in support of shooting back. The Corsairs would probably do something nasty if we converted their population on GC, but hey, dual-citizenship exists for a reason. If you think thats a viable option, then mosy over to the Council and propose it in an attempt to make peace. We'll invite some Elders for brunch. Zoner RP Solutions - bluntpencil2001 - 08-13-2009 ' Wrote:Zoners can't give up neutrality because it's embedded roleplay. I'll elaborate on my post some more. I'm suggesting isolationism. Staying away from everyone but Zoners. This, in effect, is very like their vanilla status. They don't want anything to do with Houses or pirates or whatever, they want left alone. Stay off their bases. Zoner RP Solutions - Linkus - 08-13-2009 Eject the Corsairs from Gran Canaria. Spoken from a Molly perspective. They committed genocide when they viciously thermonuked, leaving our homeland as a wasteland. The Mollys would be very interesting in the fate of the Corsairs on GC, let's put it like that. Zoner RP Solutions - bluntpencil2001 - 08-13-2009 ' Wrote:Eject the Corsairs from Gran Canaria. Spoken from a Molly perspective.Andrew Stuart has suggested a way in which the Mollys come to peace with Bretonia, too. The Mollys are given the Corsair territories on Gran Canaria. Now, with a home of their own, they won't need to fight Bretonia, and can live in peace and love. Zoner RP Solutions - Cellulanus - 08-13-2009 The thing that really gets me about Zoners is the fact that they went from a small group (or groups) of scattered isolationists to a major military superpower overnight. (Vanilla to Disco) It just doesn't make much sense to me. |
