Nomination for a new Mod - obnoxious1 - 08-19-2009

With the departure of a few Admins & a couple Mods, I think the community in whole should nominate replacements to help our admin team when & if needed.
Adding to the Mod base personnel would reduce the stress & workload on our current Admin & Mod team who work ever so hard to keep all things fair & balanced and to keep us all in line.

There for, I would like to Nominate the 2 following people I think would make excellent mods & would do the community a great service if allowed to do so.

Eppy & Exile

Both have been long standing members of this community & have often expressed their views & opinions to try to better the community in whole.

Discuss your views & suggestions, but please, try to resist flaming.

Just a wee note, this ain't an official thread. If you see this sort of thread posted by Korrd or Igiss then it would be. A few people thought it is. That is all -- cannon

Cooler heads are needed, I believe.

Blodo is my suggestion for mod/admin/President.

I don't know Eppster that much, so I won't talk about him, but as for Exile, well, I know him well, he's an awesome guy and a real asset to the community, but I don't believe he'd be suited for a moderator position as he is not always the most impartial person and tends to let himself go, and give into his anger.

As for admin nominations, I will personally leave that to the admins themselves as most of us don't know what being an admin entails precisely.

I'd definitely recommend people like Tazuras for a moderator though, or Sprolf even, though he's relatively new, but not -that- new. It's just that it's not easy to find people who are forum active and impartial, as well as relatively calm. Those two seem to have the qualities to me.

I vouch for this, no offense to anyone. But sometimes I believe Blodo is a robot for not expressing any signs of human emotions. That ... is somewhat a good thing to have as a moderator/admin/Iran's President.

Nomination for a new Mod - Fletcher - 08-19-2009

No new mods and/or admins unless the guys ask.

I nominate against Eppy, but for Blodo.

EDIT: Cool heads are needed, and not many can be found here.

Perhaps the problem is Cool Heads, ever think of that? Seems that in many cases our current admin/moderator team is too reserved in taking action against the scum of the server. Perhaps we would be better served by those who arent afraid to slap the idiots around.

I vote for Fletcher, Blodo, and Exile.

Not the way to get yourself nominated.

This is why you'll probably never be a mod or admin.

Perhaps one should take a standpoint to try to assimilate the "idiots" rather than push them out altogether. I'd sooner see people find a niche and fit in after making a mistake, than get banned/stripped of all earnings in a blaze of glory.

I'm all for seeing what present mods and admins have to say on the matter myself. Previous threads I started on this subject were more a platform to say something clever rather than seriously ask the question.
