Bounty hunting in a BS - LivingOtta - 08-20-2009 Ok Server monkeys and Admins i am wondering if this is ok... If i owned a BountyHunter BS with a Core Id/IFF etc and i was passing through the omegas and Tl get disrupted by lets say the good old OPG and its maybe a GB or a bomber etc if i wasn't sure they had a bounty on there heads could i engage anyway as they are my enermys?? Also could i go to the Houses and help if needed to defend off pirates as we all know and if not soon will that there are times were Pirates just come in hords one night and its ends up with 24 pirates all in Liberty....? Could i not help out? And finally if i has in my BS and i met a Fighter with a bounty on his head could i not kill him to collect it or do i also need to be in a fighter? Bounty hunting in a BS - Sprolf - 08-20-2009 Core can't leave the Omicrons or thereabouts, I'm fairly sure. You can engage in selfdefense. That overrides most rules right there. So if you got CDed by our good friends the OPG, you could definitely fight back. I'm not sure about the tradelanes, though. To be safe, they'd have to attack you. And either you cruiser away, or their CD you and then you can blow them up. Easy. Bounty hunting in a BS - frozen - 08-20-2009 BH core ships (capitals include destroyer and above) are not allowed to enter house space, and i think according to the ID must stick to the omicrons, omegas, and taus. If your passing and a lone OPG bomber decides to shoot you (highly unlikely, you'll prolly get swarmed by a bunch of em), you can either give him a warning and engage (if he doesnt listen to the warning) or try and leave the area, since you know that the fight is pretty unmatched either way (since you wont be losing your shield to a lone bomber in a battleship, if you do, your doing it wrong), though if he's just delaying you till re-inforcements come, it probably would be smarter to kill him off first and make a quick getaway. about collecting bounties on fighters, most of the time bounties state what ships can be hunting with which ship class (for example, i think the LPI bounty says pirate VHFs can be hunted in bombers or VHFs, not any thing bigger, etc), but in the instance it doesnt, its pretty much common sense for you to use a fighter to hunt another fighter than waste all the time and fuel to hunt a fighter in a battleship. Bounty hunting in a BS - LivingOtta - 08-20-2009 WEll the core id Says Omegas sigmas and omircons... Ok thanks frozen but could i collect Fighter BOunty in a BS? Could i not help out? Read your ID. It contains the answers to your question. I would answer it for you here, but the fact that the answer is presented so obviously in such a convenient location following many, many hours of work ensuring that it would be available to you only to be completely ignored grinds my gears. Bounty hunting in a BS - Sprolf - 08-20-2009 It would be horrible overkill, and most likely OoRP, and there's usually less of a bounty payment in cases like that. Bounty hunting in a BS - Robert.Fitzgerald - 08-20-2009 Read your ID. Plus, it doesn't make sense for Core pilots to bother claiming bounties; they have jobs, just like house militaries. You don't see them claiming to the LPI bounty office after killing a pirate. Bounty hunting in a BS - tansytansey - 08-20-2009 ' Wrote:Ok thanks frozen but could i collect Fighter BOunty in a BS?
