Wiki training - chovynz - 08-21-2009

I am offering wiki training / answering questions etc etc.

If you are interested in editing the wiki, you need no special skills, just a wiki account and a keyboard.

If you have any questions feel free to ask here. Hopefully, any questions that you might end up with will be answered here too.

What can you expect as a Discovery Wiki editor?
You'll always have my ear. I'll listen.
If you have a suggestion, suggest away.
I strongly believe in communication, and contactability. (Having skype, and being in the Skype wiki editors chat will help.)
I expect high standards. The wiki MUST be accurate.
I'm always looking to improve the wiki. If you have an idea that you want implemented talk to me.
I am a strong personality and respect people that can stand up to me, respectfully, and state what they want.
Don't worry about this hurting feelings business, but do be respectful. Be direct. Don't wait to ask. Just ask. Or do.
If something needs changing, let me/us know what it is, and why. If it's a minor thing change it yourself.
Only Igiss, Blodo and Hyung are current wiki admins, and can delete pages if needed. There should be a large consensus on deletion.

The main thing is to jump in, find a hole, and fill it.

Note: There are background reasons, and at least a years worth, of decisions and reasons, and discussions that I have had with many many people, Igiss included, about why the wiki is how it is. If there is something that doesn't make sense, please ask.

Step two: Read and follow the Wiki Editing Rules.
Other things that may come in handy to read.
Step three:
Most of the time you'll only need to find something wrong and fix it.
