When I'm on, theres always around 100 players consistently. Does this vary a lot with time or is it usually around there?
Why? Cos sometimes I like to keep a low profile and sometimes I want to meet people.

During the day (9AM - 1PM GMT+0) it is usually very quiet and in the evening time (5PM - 12PM) you will face a constantly filled server. Depends on the weekday...

Also go on when server just restart liek 5 ppl on and 99999999999999999999999999 Bots (those freakin computer controlled things) flying around.

It depends where you live. The lowest it gets is about 50-60 so try experimenting with going on at differant times of the day. Ive found that the mornings are the prime time for players but like you, im not always looking for people.
This might help aswell. http://www.flserver.de/topservers24h.php Click on dico RP24/7 and it has a graph. I think it updates daily...but I dunno. And the times probably in GMT.

I like to smuggle/trade when its busy.
More danger = More fun.
Also Traders give Pirates something to do, which in turn gives Police/Navy something to do.
