Hi guys,
I'm trying to get some background story togeter for my char and I am thinking along the lines of either The Order or The Zoners. I cant seem to make up my mind but I like the freedom that both factions seem to have but I was wondering......I plan to carry a smuggler or merc id, would this be ok if my rep was green with the order or the zoners. I read that if you carry a zoner or order tag then you cant commit any unlawful acts.
Also I am only wanting to smuggle or trade for a wee while until I get my funds higher to afford a larger ship to explore and chart the deepest reaches of sirius.
Do you think one of these factions would suit me and my plans.
I want quite alot of freedom so I can explore so if there is maybe another faction that would suit me then help me out please.

If you want to be a trader character then the Order isnt for you.
I suggest Zoners, like you said earlier

TBH I hate trading, but it seems the best way to get my credits up so that I can get my gunboat or cruiser and start to explore and kill enemies on my travels. Smuggling just makes it a bit more exciting.
Zoners do seem to be a good option but I like the story of the order and even the junkers.
lol I just cant make up my mind. God, I am worse than a woman lol. (no offence :))

If you like the Junkers, go with them - just please try to RP the role properly. You can justify trading as a Junker far more easily than with the Order.

Use a Zoner/Junker trader to get your credits up, then create an Order character and get credits from your trader to buy your GB or whatever

Looks like I am gonna go with the junkers.
I am going to read up as much as I can so i can RP properly. The reason I joined this server after 3 years with my old server, was to get into some good rp so you dont have to worry about me sticking to rp.

You could use a Fl IFF, a Smuggler ID and a Pirate Train? That's totally generic meaning you're held accountable to no faction (unless you're in House space, in which case the law will probably hold you accountable for quite a lot).
