I was piloting the BHG GB Acheron,
in the beginning of the day I made my way from omega 15 to NY, where i found an outcast/hacker/rouge fleet besieging Manhattan. Me an a Liberty GB vessel SLICE did our best to fight them off but I was eventually destroyed, I am not sure about the Liberty vessel. After my killer left NY, I returned and joined a small group of LN and LPI fighters. We built up our forces and were stationed at West Point. We destroyed several Hackers and rouges trying to either pirate or pass through NY(bad idea for unlawful that day). I met a camara vessel Halogen that was carrying vacationers ordered him to halt scanned everything was fine I told him if he had any trouble to PM me. And after about ten minutes I heard he was being pirated by Junker IDed, Freelancer IFFed pirate transport Spyder in california. I headed over and tried to RP him away and he tried to lie out of it saying that he wasn't pirating(i had previously told him not to disable lanes), he had the vacationers he said he wasn't pirating, I had the camara say in system caht that sypder had pirated him, with this proof i called for back up from SLICE, Plodington, Nick, Lt.Coffee and several other lawful vessels in our ever vigilant group. Spyder made short work of my GB but after that he was destroyed.
I returned to WP and regrouped with the rest of the group. We were joined by a bowex vessel and another liberty GB named EM. We fought away some more lone pirates, and heard about an outcast and pirate behind Manhattan. I engaged, was destroyed left the system, and I found a Outcast destroyer Barbarossa and called on our two group member captain.obvious and capain.pewpew they made short work of the destroyer and returned to liberty. The outcast and pirate fighters were lagging terribly and took an hours to be destroyed. I found a cardimine smuggler/junkie named bwaah and told him to jettison the cardimine he didnt so i pursued and after jumping to ontario and alberta i finally managed to EK and kill him, I think he was trying to teach me a lesson on cruise disruptors, well congrats bwaah first thing i did was buy cruise disrupters when i got back. My group member finally destroyed the two fighters and i returned to NY. We heared about Mon'Star and prepared ourselves for his assualt on Lbierty, this assualt never came and he left.
We later heard of a large hacker fleet in California. We launched an orchestrated effort to attack and destroy them but they fled at the sight of two Liberty assault battlecruisers. Good choice VR fleet. We found a slaver named Liam and we tried to catch him but he used jump hole none of us knew about. good job Liam. We then found a pirate named Solari that me and a hunter named William.Carlson(I think) chased into Coronado. He fled to Baffin, and it seemed as if Solari was playing us. When we were on our way back to NY we saw a small fighter who said, 'launching an assault on Magellan i see' and one of our member says 'no we are not' and the fighter says 'then what are you doing?' and he says 'its a long and classified story'. Man was he right. when we got back to NY we found an order gunboat at the Alaska JG. We decided to not engage and let him flee.
After that our group started to log out and so did I. Anyone who stayed please feel free to continue the story.
At the height of our huge vigilant group of liberty lawfuls we had about 14 members. and I probably didnt even recount half of our endeavors.

1 BHG GB
many fighters
3 bombers
As I said to you guys in game, that was the safest I have ever seen NY and Liberty.

believe me you would flee too when two BCs suddenly fall out of a lane followed by a bunch of GBs, fighters, and bombers.

In my experience I haven't seen them flee unless I let them (which was because it was Fierceshot in a VHF vs like 5 guys).

Our group was good, but we had trouble communicating (AKA, me because it was 1 am and I could barely type).
On top of that, I think the VR realized that there was no reason to be in Cali at the time as there were no traders around.

I've seen their LH Spyglass flee from two Avengers, a Guardian and an Executioner, all but one piloted by the [LN]:P
I hope to hell you didn't capwhore anyone, else I'll be tearing your guns from your hulls. Novas are fun like that.

perhaps if all lawfuls in NY make one huge group then we will have more success in fighting pirates. Today we did it again but we had even more GBs and 3 BCs. At this rate NY will be very safe. Unfortunately as I say this Acheron was just blown up by 3 rouge GBs, so we have a ways to go.

we were careful not to do that. Yesterday we had so many dang ships and those fighters were lagging so bad (it took an hour or so to kill them) we just kept the GBs and BCs close by and eventually they left.
What I am suggesting is if NY lawfuls grouped and coordinated efforts it would be an easier place to secure. And since this is the second day in a row that I have been patroling with a BC, a GB, and a fighter as well as keeping in touch with other caps, GBs, and fighter throughout the penn/NY/cali area, it seems that this may be working. Although it did take 2 GBs and a BC to just take down 3 rouge GBs(they are pretty agile compared to my orca.)

VR doesn't flee unless we are certain that we are going to lose... We don't like to pull the spyglass out for just "anything." As for me with the 5 VHFs, yeah... that happens a lot. I think the navy is starting to learn their lesson at "letting me go" though, I ran into some Navy the other day that gave me the options death or death. The spyglass fled from those fighters because we don't like to let it be destroyed. In RP, try replacing a Spyglass with the touch of a button. It just wouldn't make sense!:P
