This is a survey for the type of characters you use in the above categories, and attempt to get some sort of a demographic if possible.
Its that simple.
The reasoning is simple, who do we have more of, and what we don't have enough of.
EDIT: Oh cock, I should have put smugglers in there too, dammit, mods help?
Also mine is Miner, Trader, Pirate.
There's a lot more, but I assume these are options for money-making characters. Added smugglers. -Virus

I went with Trader, Pirate, Miner. I like piracy and all that RP, but it really can be easier to get with a trader because you can move so much more. It seems these days more than half of traders and pirates are idiots, so trader wins out for mobility.
Miner is dead last. To me, it is easily the most boring thing ever.

Trading and mining are good ways to be ignored by everyone (except pirates), but piracy ensures at least some human interaction. Even if it's with the typical lawful (pew pew first and RP... never).
