Im really unsure about what direction i want to take, im very friendly with the liberty police, navy and most of the other related groups despite being a freelancer. But what i really want to do is be more of a space pirate/bad guy.

Ive looked in some of the faction recruitment threads, but I wanted to post here before i did anything in case there are some things i am not aware of.

what are the general requirements for joining a faction?
what is this i hear about writing a Bio etc?
anything else im missing?

For most factions, you really just have to have a general background of the character. Where he came from, what caused him to join the faction, and such things. Some factions might have you take a quiz, but, more often then not they're quite simple to do.

If I could be so bold as to suggest a good starting pirate faction, I would suggest the Landwirtrechtbewegung (and no you don't need to be able to spell it :)). Though it is quite a niche faction, it's quite awesome.

If you feel the need to trade some, those of us in Gateway Interstellar would love to have you.

The Bretonia Police Authory is the best police faction I can think of, as well.

But, if Corsair escapades tickle your fancy, The Brotherhood is the oldest Corsair faction on the server, dating back to late 2005, I think. Or, something like that, anyway.

But, in the end, those are just my suggestions for a beginning faction. The choice is really yours, and if you browse the Faction Recruitment subsection, no doubt you'll find the right choice for you.
