Should battleships have CDs? - cobraSting - 08-25-2009 So I finally got my GRN Battleship outfitted. I was trying to stop some random people (non-Gallic) in Burgundy, and the following happened each time: Lucas: Halt! Cut your engines now! (Enemy cruises away with no notice or response) Lucas: We will remember this transgression, trespasser! GRN are supposed to empty all non-EFL/IDF/GMS transport convoys and send those people packing out of Gallia, but nobody stops to RP at all, and I cannot stop them since I do not have CDs. So, should battleships have CDs to force people to RP moar, or will it be too imba? Should battleships have CDs? - Guest - 08-25-2009 ' Wrote:So I finally got my GRN Battleship outfitted. They are ment to be the artillery pieces not the interdictors. If you want to stop people get a cruiser, it fits that role and has thrusters. edit Are you even allowed to take cargo in a cruiser/bs? Should battleships have CDs? - Virus - 08-25-2009 I wonder if Cruisers should lose CDs as well... Can't pirate or stop smugglers with 'em anyway. Should battleships have CDs? - Fletcher - 08-25-2009 For reality, maybe, it would depend on the doctrine of the battleships designers. For gameplay, no. A solo BB taking on a fighter swarm effectively with a CD would halt all if not most of the incoming torpedoes. Get an escort like all Battleships have in both reality, and usually in gameplay. Should battleships have CDs? - tansytansey - 08-25-2009 Battleships cannot fire on Transports anyway, they could ignore you, sit there and not move and you couldn't do anything. Cd help when someone is engine killing. I've used it to stop bombers in their tracks + razor them in my cruiser. Should battleships have CDs? - Eppy - 08-25-2009 Yes. The CD is a useful tool in bringing smaller ships out of engine kill and into your targeting reticle, or somebody else's targeting reticle - something I was very sad to see go. It gave us large ship guys a way to at least help out the fighter support by screwing up the enemy's maneuvers a bit. For example, the BHG Core can demand nomad technology from -anyone- and can blow them up if they don't comply. Edit: Didn't answer the topic question >.< No, I don't think Battleships should have a CD, nor should cruisers. Bombers and gunships need a chance to get away D: Should battleships have CDs? - Camtheman Of Freelancer4Ever - 08-25-2009 Ugh, "Get an escort" Its getting old, really. Please do not say that, ever, ever again. It makes you look very ignorant. But really, Battleships shouldnt get a CD, if anything cruisers shouldnt either. But, It would help for you to fly a bomber. It fits the role. Other than that, camp the places where these traders come in and blow the crap out of them if they dont stop. |
